Pousada O Ninho

Positive: The hotel location is great. It's in Barra which is one of the major tourist areas in Salvador. It's 2 blocks from the beach. Negatives: 1) They overcharged my credit card months in advance (3 nights instead of 2). It could have been an error or not. I contacted the pousada, asked for reimburse of the overcharged night and they said they couldn't do it, so I had to report a fraud to my bank, change the credit card and get the reimburse 2 months after investigation. 2) When arrived, the pousada had no room available for us (although they charged my credit card wel in advance), so they sent us to a neighbouring pousada (Miraflores - which was ok). 3) Despite overcharging my credit card months in advance, they tried make me pay again at the hotel - I easily proved I had already paid. All this was very dodgy and made me feel very uncomfortable. Based on all this trouble, I would not recommend this pousada.

Worldcup or not, the price for this miniature room with a rock-hard M,atresse was horrendous! The straff was nice though! If you travel during off-peak Times and like hard matresses go for it...

We arrived at 12.30am after a fairly long flight from Rio. The manager was kindly waiting for us and showed us to our room very efficiently. The room was extremely small and contained a double and single bed. The beds were fitted only with thin top sheets, no blankets. Although this wasn't a problem as it was so hot and thankfully the air con worked. I couldn't close the window as the shutter had decayed and there was no glass. As morning arrived we were woken to traffic including numerous buses screaming past. Barra road works meant traffic was being dirrected straight down our street. The bathroom was basic and clean enough although there were tiny ants around the sink. The fresh towels were old and stained. Breakfast consisted of sliced meats, cheese, scrambled eggs, toast, juice and coffee. There was a hair in the eggs. We were booked to stay another 2 nights but left the next day for another place to stay.

Du beurre moisit au petit au déjeuner, car il ne le mette jamais au frais et donc il pue et à une sale couleur. Le misogyne de réceptionniste bien évidemment c'est de ma faute, la faute des femmes, pour lui c'est normal, que le beurre put! Il n'y a pas d'housse/ de protège matelas, les serviette sont très usées. Les réceptionnistes ne parlent pas anglais, et la vaisselle du petit déjeuner est sale, la nourriture est mauvaise.

Estadia tranquila,amei a localizacao,cafe da manha muito bom.

En la primera estadía estuvo bien. En la 2a. estadía, en el baño había muy mal olor, no salía agua caliente, me bañe con agua fría.- Desayuno no era muy variado, pero para el tipo de hotel es aceptable. Comodidades variables según la habitación que te asignen.-

Pousada bem localizada, excelente atendimento. O quarto é simples, porém atende as necessidades.

Quarto minúsculo. O banheiro estava cheio de areia e roupas de cama sujas.

Gostei muito da atenção recebida, pois chegamos pelo menos duas horas antes do chek in mesmo assim fomos devidamente acomodados, o local é muito bom, pois é muito próximo do farol da barra e da praia do porto da barra, locais que dá pra ir andando, no mais é como qualquer outra pousada da categoria com café da manhã satisfatório, quarto que dá pra relaxar sem problemas e recomendo.

MUITO BOA ESTADA, INFELIZMENTE INTERROMPIDA POR UM ACIDENTE SOFRIDO PELO SIGNATARIO. O HOTEL PRESTOU EXEMPLARMENTE TODA A ASSISTENCIA NECESSARIA.NESSE ITEM, GRAU DEZ.

Apesar do bom atendimento, a pousada é ruim. O quarto que fiquei era pequeno e sem estrutura. Armário com cheiro de mofo, cama quase encostada no banheiro...reservei por 3 dias, mas so consegui ficar um!

ótima localização, local seguro, boa acomodação.

Cama e colchão desconfortáveis,provocaram dores no corpo. TV só pegava um canal. Acesso ao quarto sem proteção contra chuva. Por outro lado, o café da manhã foi muito bom. Área de estar muito confortável e boa receptividade da equipe.

I was dissapointed because this pousada is mentioned in lonely planet and trip advised but it's really poor. Small rooms, no windows, bed is uncomfortable, everything in the room is VERY DIRTY, staff don't speak english, wifi works in lounge only. If there is no option that's ok - good location, friendly staff, normal breakfast. But better find something else, it's really doesn't worth it's price
