Cedar Motel

No breakfast. Rooms need repairs/update . Parking ok.

It was easy enough to find however there were bed bugs and dead flies all over the room that we were given.

Room was clean. Fridge didn’t work when I arrived, but staff was prompt to get a replacement in the room. Staff was friendly at check in and throughout stay. Older rooms, but good value for the price.

Burnt out bedside light. Also the outside front door light was out off order leaving the 2nd floor landing and the steep stairs dark. Hot water was non existent, barely warm. TV was large but has a useless service with only days old news programs, old junk reruns and nothing was live broadcast. Plus point was that this old hotel(The Cedar) rooms are remodeled nicely, outside was still ancient.

Room was clean and comfortable. Request a second floor room as being under an occupied room is noisy. Very walkable to cafes and dining. Hot water took awhile to get there and wasn’t very hot but use able.

Not enough hot water!!!

It was not up to the quality of a Prestige property. There was only warm water, and the room reeked of bleach. However, the Prestige was very good about remedying our concerns, so it was not all bad.

The property is older and dated. It was clean and had everything we needed and was in well maintained condition. We will definitely stay again. We felt very safe and it is located in a safe area. A great motel when passing through Radium.

All was fine

The tv box didn’t work. When I called the concierge she gave me attitude and said there is no maintenance guy and tough luck. The air conditioner was in the bedroom but pugged into the bathroom plug to run. But it goes through the bathroom door, so you can’t close the bathroom door. The room was dirty. Would not recommend this to anyone.

We had to check in a mile away from property There was a messy window air conditioner that we had to plug into bathroom and unable to close bathroom door Room was clean otherwise. The front of place was cute

This place is just outdated.

Room has been recently remodeled and looks great. A/C was via window unit in back bedroom wall and took a while to cool down unit.

Be aware that you may book a “deluxe kitchenette with 2 Queen beds” and get a kitchenette that has one queen bed and a pullout sofa. This is what happened to us. When we reported that this is not what we booked, first we were told that we just didn’t find the second bedroom and sent back to the room. After showing them video evidence that there was no second bedroom, they were like, oh, this is one of those rooms with the pullout sofa. When we asked for another room, we were told that they are full. When prompted we were also told this happened before but this is Expedia’s doing, and they have no control over this. Hardly an acceptable answer. The AC switch was also hidden, near the floor. But at least the AC was working. Other than this, this would have been an acceptable place for a motel.

It was good for a one night stay

One bed was comfy. One was lumpy and needed to be replaced. Fridge was iced up and needed attention as pop didn’t get cold. Clean over all !!

I didnt submit a request for a room on the ground level and i had a hard time going up the stairs because i have arthritis in my knee
