Authentic house, well kept and tastfully decorated, in a quieter area of old town, my room was spacious and bright, host Amy was very engaging.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay very much in the spacious and clean room. The mod-con like bidet in toilet was a bonus! Host were very friendly and helpful and we even had a private tea appreciation class and bought some raw puer tea home with us. We hope ro be back soon.

We have so enjoyed our stay here! Our hosts have been so welcoming and helpful to us! This is a family home converted to a lovely guesthouse. We have sampled delicious tea from the family farm in southern Yunnan, and enjoyed the most amazing breakfast each morning! The house is perfectly situated in old town, and the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. A real gem. ❤️

We had an amazing stay. It is a beautiful old home and is walking distance to most parts of the old Lijiang Town. The staff were extremely helpful in recommending things do and places to go. There great opportunities for us to mix around with the other guests and staff during the breakfast time to know more about the local community. I would strongly recommend this place if you like to stay in a cozy and homely place.

The staff are so helpful. For my second night, they upgraded me to a second floor room with a beautiful view. Breakfast was good and fruit was always available. They always offered tea, as well. Fun experience.

We loved this hotel. My mum, sister and I, we all loved this hotel. On the day of the arrival, we took a taxi to the closest ancient town entrance point which was around 5 mins walk away from the hotel. We went through a clean and well-built stone pavement, passed some nice shops, stepped down a stone stair, then found this hotel which was next to a clear water path, so we were pleased even when we were approaching the hotel. As soon as we arrived, the hotel owner and her staff gave us a warm welcome by offering us a nice and hot Chinese tea, some flower cakes and some cozy chats. We had a home feeling. The hotel room facilities and communal amenities are first class with a professional taste! The owner and her team offered high standard services to us throughout our entire stay and always willing to help, to provide the useful local information and to book taxi and local show tickets for us etc. All of these made our travelling experience in Lijiang super easy and enjoyable. We highly recommend the hotel and you wouldn't be disappointed...

Great stay!

JunPoXuan hotel is an amazing hotel in the center of Old Town Lijiang. As soon as you enter you will be greeted by the lovely family who owns the hotel. The service is exceptional and they are always willing to go above and beyond to help you. There is always staff on hand that speaks English. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. The lobby is a relaxing and nice place to have some tea with the owners. The courtyard is tranquil and a comfortable place to read a book and relax. The only thing that is not perfect about this hotel is the rooms are not soundproof like advertised. My room was off the courtyard, which was great at night because I could sleep to the sound of the small waterfall. It just was not good when there was a guest who arrived back late at night and was very loud. My suggestion is for the hotel to hang decorative signs in the courtyard area asking people to be quiet and not to advertise it as sound proof. Overall, I would 100% stay at this hotel again or recommend it to friends.

This not a fancy hotel but a cozy, comfortable, convenient boutique hotel with an extremely friendly staff. The hotel is located in the old city so eating, shopping, and exploring are all within walking distance. From outside the old city, it is only a short walk from one of the main entrances. The old city only allowed registered visitors so it is super safe. The hotel has been remodeled from a traditional living quarters so you get modern comfort with traditional Chinese style architecture. The staff was super friendly and has catered to all our needs.

I was quite frustrated with my accommodation. Firstly, I specifically ordered my room based on the fact that it had "river views". When I received my room there were no views except a concrete walk outside my bathroom. When I asked the staff about this and showed then my room booking specifically said it included river views, the said "That is not our fault, it's the fault of the website you booked on". I was furious! They did nothing to accommodate me. Also, the property was very loud. We had a family in the room next to us and they kids and the TV were very loud until after 11 pm! When I asked an employee to talk to the family he did, but then the family was still loud until almost midnight. I do not recommend staying here. Very unprofessional.

This property is a family home that has been in the family for several generations and converted it to a hotel. The family (staff) are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even provided us with breakfast the morning we left (6:30am). Tea and coffee in the afternoon were welcomed. Location was, in our opinion, perfect for walking the area and visiting sites.

We loved Jun Bo. Emi the hostess, spoke good english and was the sweetest informative person. The suite was huge, had a wonderful large bathroom w/ a great shower AND large bathtub. The room heater, king bed with electric blankets were wonderful on the cold mornings. The suite has the river on two sides. We always took the Chinese breakfast and coffee - it was light yet filling. Let Emi educate you about tea and she can make suggestions to go t places and arrange drivers. KNOW that the City in general doesn't take international credit cards so you need to have converted cash at the Bank of China or have Ali pay or Wechatpay . its very tranquil.

Cosy property next to the river and right in the heart of all the action. While the property is fairly humble, it was the service that made all the difference. The managers were warm and friendly, and went the extra mile to make our stay in Lijiang memorable. They were concerned about us keeping warm, and always asked about our plans for the day - even providing snacks when they learnt that we were taking a day trip out to JDSM! We really felt like family there. What was concerning though was how thin the walls were. It was easy to hear our neighbours chatting in the room next to ours. That isn’t the best situation for light sleepers.

They have an area for us to have meals and chit chat. They will serve us tea and fruits. Cozy and feels like home.

Jun Bo Xuan Boutique Hotel Was so beautiful, keeping the old style but clean. Staffs speaks good English, very friendly, taught our kids how to make Chinese tea! Now our daughter is a tea master! Thanks for the hospitality and we will definitely come back again!

Don't miss it, perfect place, take the big room.
