Shangri-La Nanchang

Nanchang Shangri-La, a well-established luxury hotel brand, offers exceptional service from the moment you arrive. The staff are warm and attentive—they promptly assist with luggage, and food deliveries via their cute little robots are impressively fast. Best of all, my room was perfectly positioned for stunning river views, with unobstructed sightlines of both the iconic Tengwang Pavilion and the shimmering bridge over the Gan River. It’s a delight to wake up to such a breathtaking panorama right from the comfort of your room.

This hotel is classified as a non smoking hotel. But people smoke EVERYWHERE inside - this is sub standard and a health and safety issue.

Excellent hotel, as good or better than 4+ stars in major American cities. Staff speaks some English and assists with inquiries and deliveries. Very nice gym and pool. Would stay if you’re a westerner in Nanchang for business or pleasure. Also, the neighborhood is new and nice but not close to the old city so if you want a more authentic experience you may consider something less western.

Good location with beautiful views

This hotel was nice. I really appreciated that I could turn the AC down as the previous hotel I was at in another town was not allowing that. It was clean and the service was great.

It is a spacious room with great qualities. Our room overlooks the river and the view at night is particularly pleasant. The breakfast could have been better but it is already very good.

Nice hotel with a good breakfast and dinner buffet restaurant, good Chinese restaurant and fitness center. Great location for walking and checking out the light and fountain shows. Room was clean and service was great. Will be back in a couple weeks

Lovely hotel with an amazing view over river and the wonderful water fountain light display. Very large rooms and comfy beds. Staff were helpful attentive and spoke good English

Very disappointing experience, Shangri-La Nanchong having a 5 star name and room charge should be only rated a 3 star hotel (lack of luggage care taker upon arrival, coffee shop half full of customers but none staff attending the place for 10 min, finally the one came can’t speak nor understand English and the customers’ behaviour there that day was acting in inappropriate manner such as someone almost totally lieiing on the sofa chair, some people taking off the shoes with the feet put on the chair and etc.)

This is definitely not the usual Shangri-la standard. The room service was very limited and the food is far below 5 star standard. Not really good. The Chinese restaurant service was slow and the food quality is also not good. The breakfast was so-so, I was expecting better but it is a bit disappointing. The view in my room was really great.

Few people know about a Shangri-La hotel in Jiangxi. This hotel is located in central Nanchang with a short drive the square and heritage locations. We had access to the full breakfast and the Horizon club. Both had great food and great service. This is one of the most child friendly hotels I’ve been to in China. It has a place for the kids to play during breakfast and a larger play place where the gym is. Full sized swimming pool with sauna and hot tub. Gym was well equipped with modern equipment. Staff was friendly, but English was limited. They have hotel staff with high levels of English proficency, but you might need to stop by the front desk.

Room is spacious and clean, however lighting can be improved.

maybe one of the best in town but definitely not up to the usual Shangrila standard. Most disappointing is the room service menu - only serve a few local dishes.
