Nayara Gardens

We booked Nayara Gardens as part of our last few days after spending 10 days in other areas of Costa Rica. It was the best way to end our vacation, everything at the hotel was amazing starting with the check in, the restaurants, the breakfast and a really nice touch which was that laundry of our clothes was included!

Probably in top 2 or 3 places we have ever stayed at. The whole resort is built in a rainforest or the rainforest has grown around the resort in ways the two are one. The room, the ambience, the service, the food, the environment, the plunge pools,...everything was so so amazing. Had one of our most memorable couple experiences at Nayara Gardens and Nayara Springs!

Truly an oasis.

Our stay at Nayara Gardens was truly unforgettable, it exceeded all of our expectations! The property is absolutely stunning, with lush gardens, breathtaking views, and an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and serene. Every corner feels like a little slice of paradise. What really made the experience stand out was the exceptional service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. From our amazing tour guide and driver who went above and beyond with our kids, to the thoughtful golf cart drivers who created little magical moments for them, everyone made us feel at home and well cared for. The rooms were beautiful and private, the pools and hot springs were dreamy, and the dining options were delicious. We loved how family-friendly it was while still feeling like a romantic and relaxing getaway. We can’t recommend Nayara Gardens enough, it’s a place where you can truly disconnect, reconnect with nature, and create memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I stayed at Nayara Gardens last year. We loved it so much we came back this year. Such a beautiful resort! Staff, service and food all 1st class. Alberto Vargas on the reservations team booked our transportation from/to Liberia, our dinner reservations at the resort as well as all our activities. He was super responsive via email and everything went perfect. Johnn and the rest of the front desk staff treated us as old friends. The restaurants are all fantastic! Nayara Culinary Director Chef Gianluca Re Fraschini made it a point to stop and introduce himself to us and then had an off-menu custom dinner prepared for us that night that was fantastic!. What more can I say just a first class resort! We are already planning a trip back next year!

We had a wonderful stay overall and truly enjoyed the property as part of my husband’s birthday trip. The resort is beautiful, the accommodations were excellent, and we appreciated the peaceful setting. Unfortunately, our experience was impacted on the final day due to a miscommunication regarding our airport transfer. I had confirmed transportation the day before and was instructed to be at the front desk at 7:20 AM. We arrived early, but it became clear that the request had not been properly relayed to the team. As a result, we departed nearly an hour late and came very close to missing our only nonstop flight home—which would have significantly disrupted our schedule. While this was a frustrating end to an otherwise lovely trip, we do hope to return. Next time, I will be sure to double-confirm any arrangements made with the staff to avoid similar issues.

Everything about this place was amazing

Nayara Gardens was exceptional!! It truly exceeded my expectations. The property is gorgeous, the restaurants offer delicious food, and the rooms are spacious, modern, and beautiful. As others have mentioned, it is essentially one big resort with 3 different sections, so you can easily visit Nayara Springs and Nayara Tents by simply strolling the property. Personally I loved staying in Nayara Gardens because of the fantastic location/proximity to the Terraza restaurant where the complimentary breakfast buffet was offered (I’m not a morning person and so I’m usually rushing to make it 😅). Plus, golf carts are available to take you across the property to different restaurants, pools, and spas. I got a treatment at Sukho Spa (the spa in the Nayara Tent section) and it may have been the most gorgeous spa experience I have ever had. We also loved the hot springs on the property; beautiful and relaxing. The staff is extremely warm and helpful. We saw a couple sloths and several toucans in the property (admittedly with the assistance of staff pointing them out). Overall we had a fantastic stay and wish we spent more time there!

Had the pleasure of staying at Nayara again and everything was excellent! From the room to the service we had a great time and can't wait to go back!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and really loved it. The vibe is tropical and intimate. It was very romantic. The staff are extremely friendly all the time and the spas are incredible. Awesome if you are looking for the jungle side of Costa Rica near the Arenal Volcano.

Most magnificent stay all the way around!!

From start to finish, our experience at Nayara Gardens was absolutely immaculate. We arrived via shuttle, where we were warmly greeted with a personalized sign. Check-in was seamless, and our room was already set up with a special anniversary treat waiting for us. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a refreshing drink, taken on a tour of the property, and personally shown to our room. Though we stayed at the Gardens, we had full access to both Nayara Tented Camp and Nayara Springs. The resort’s golf carts made getting around effortless, arriving within minutes whenever needed. A special shoutout to Kevin and Johnn from the front desk, who handled all our reservations and answered any questions we had with ease. One of the highlights was our private heated pool, perfect for a relaxing late-night dip. Everything was impeccably clean, and we loved the thoughtful turn-down service. The stunning views and serene atmosphere made this the most relaxing stay we’ve ever had. We spent a lot of time at the Tented Camp infinity pool, where Christopher and Andrey kept us well-hydrated with incredible cocktails—thank you both! The resort also helped us spot incredible wildlife, making us feel truly immersed in the rainforest. We saw sloths, monkeys, and beautiful birds, which made our stay even more magical. The property is immaculate and clean! Each accommodation is well designed to give you privacy and a feel of luxury. The thing that really stands out is the service. - staff is so polite and welcoming, just makes your day start right. The welcome drink, the scrumptious breakfast, the special attention at dinners - get you in the right mood for rte vacation. Our only sour experience was that our unit’s water pipe had burst and we did not get water in the unit. That was a bummer as we wanted to freshen up after a long day of journey. They said that it would be fixed in an hour, which it wasn’t and after we raised the concern, we were given another room. And they picked up our dinner tab. Again - the staff was very courteous about it, we appreciated the gesture a lot. But nevertheless did not like the fact that we had to pack/unpack twice; and that they did not keep us informed/get the issue corrected by when they said they would. Regardless I would definitely give another chance and stay at the property as it was so well planned. The golf carts, thermal pools, luxurious ambiance, food options were excellent. Above it all was the hospitality and friendliness of the staff!

Villa with Rainforest Pool and view of Arenal Volcano was beautiful. Staff was amazing in every department. Food was great at all restaurants we tried.

This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are truly amazing and so private. We stayed here for our honeymoon and the hotel gifted us a bottle of sparkling wine and little desserts. The turndown service was really nice and dry cleaning was fast and had great pricing compared to other hotels we stayed at. I can’t say enough about the staff, we arrived early for check in but staff brought us complimentary drinks and one staff William gave us an amazing tour of the property which was needed because it is enormous. So impressive with bridges and wildlife and lush tropical forest everywhere. We loved the orchids along all the paths in the resort. William also showed us the frog pond in the evening which we loved. He had amazing suggestions and helped throughout our entire stay. We did the complimentary yoga and loved the fresh cold coconut water provided afterwards. I was blown away with everything what was included and every little detail. We saw several sloths, howler monkeys and six different species of frogs on the property. We did not want to leave the resort and ate at Ayla the Mediterranean restaurant which was good and the Italian restaurant which we loved. Great vegan options at all the dining options. I can’t say enough good things and look forward to returning!!

This place is top of the heap!! I have stayed at lots of quality resorts and this one is on top of the list.. check in was easy, room was awesome, food and restaurants were great and plentiful. You can get a golf cart to shuttle you around or walk.. the property is beautiful and has three resorts to wander thru to eat, get coffee, jump in the thermal baths, or go to one of their three spas.. its a must try and the people are also awesome!!
