Loved our stay at the Admiral Hotel! The building has so much character with its historic charm, but the rooms are modern, comfy, and super clean. Perfect location—steps from Nyhavn and easy to walk everywhere. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful renovated older building in the heart of the city with waterfront views of the canals. Easy walk to Nyhavn, Christianshavn, and olde town.

The decor of the hotel is nice and the rooms are nice. The cleaning of the rooms is not what I would expect, I would expect a more thorough clean and for an ironing board etc to be put away. Service in the bar/restaurant was terrible, you had to ask for menus, ask to be served, ask why a child’s portion of chips was taking 20 minutes when they were not busy. Standing around chatting or clearing tables when you have customers waiting and plenty of clean tables would not be my priority. Check in was fine, however no information was given about the city at all. Upon asking the front desk regarding recommendations for restaurants, they had none and googled options, which is not what I would expect from a hotel of this type. Would I stay here again, probably not for the price and the lack of customer service. We asked about hiring a bike with a child enclosed seat, to be told they had none, notwithstanding they were outside. The hotel seems geared up to more business/corporate guests or returning guests, which given it was my first solo trip with my 6 year it was dissapointing

We thought that this hotel was generally okay. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was adequate. The restaurant for dinner was not a highlight for us. The room was also generally okay but their use of air conditioning seems restricted likely because they’re environmentally conscious, which we applaud. I’d say though that it would’ve been nice to know about this beforehand. There were a number of days where it was quite hot and stronger air conditioning would’ve greatly appreciated, especially for those who prefer and are used to sleeping in a cold room. The loft room has a pullout bed, but it’s really quite small and I’d say two people cannot comfortably sleep on it. It’s really designed for one person or two very small children. Adolescents, teens, or adults will have a difficult time sleeping comfortably on the pullout sofa if there are two of them.

Very disappointing stay. Don’t expect any hotels.com premium acknowledgements as they were not even aware of Premium status . Room was very small with weight-bearing post in the middle of the small room. The rate was high but typical of the area, service low…and nearly the worst of my many hotel experiences through hotels.com

I was a little hesitant to book here based on some mixed reviews, but I’m very glad that I did. My daughter and I actually stayed here twice, for one night at the beginning of our trip before getting on our cruise to Norway and then stayed another night after we disembarked the ship and before we flew home. We stayed one night in a room not overlooking the canal which was fine, especially because we were tired after a long flight so didn’t care too much about a view. We did upgrade to a canal view room for the other night we stayed and I was glad we did- very nice view but also quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better - quick walk to Nyhavn and to lots of great restaurants and other attractions and to a metro stop (which we took to the main train station to catch the train to Malmo, Sweden… that was a very easy and lovely day trip we did on our final day). The hotel was clean and very quiet. The restaurant aye aye was a little pricy but we had a very good dinner. The one worry that I had after reading reviews was that the room might not be cool enough for sleeping - reviewers complained that the AC did not really work. I have to say that I actually slept fine, despite being someone who normally gets hot while sleeping and the AC (I’m not sure if it’s actually AC or just some sort of air circulation but you can control it within your room) was not very cold or powerful … but again, I actually slept just fine both nights.

Just returned from a three night stay at the admiral hotel. I was there with my two teenage sons. We stayed in a duplex room which slept three people very comfortably. The best part about this hotel is the location. It’s right on the water and it was a beautiful week in Copenhagen so everybody was out swimming and dancing right on the stairs leading down to the water. We can watch everything from our hotel room right outside. It can sometimes stay a little noisy at night, but it was nice hearing everyone staying out late. It probably would not be ideal for a person who has problems with steep stairs. We did not eat hereWe would definitely stay here again.
