BlueBay Villas Doradas - Adults Only - All Inclusive

Beautiful location and layout.

The property is beautifully kept, the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The entertainment staff go above and beyond, theyre truly amazing. Snack bar by the beach is a nice convinent touch. All the bartenders are exceptional at ensuring to serve you quickly. Very friendly atmosphere and i personally will return to bluebay villas. Do recommend bringing beach towels, only one supplied in room and no where to exchange it or get a second if there is more then one guest in the room.

The staff were very nice specially Fernando one of the bar tenders. The food was good. The entertainment people are excellent people. The rooms are not in good condition. They need more vip bars. The pool hours need to be longer since there’s only adults. Also the mini bar in the room needs to be fill every day.

I stayed 4 days at blue bay, Food very good, employee very friendly, Seafood restaurant on the beach is amazing, The waiter Jose Manuel was excellent with my family.

The place is nice beach is great staff super friendly, how ever the place could use an upgrade, rooms are old. The entertainment is good, food is ok, pools are clean and if you love Canadians you will be surrounded by them lol we where the only people from the States.

I would recommend this property. Food was okay could be way better but the pricing is affordable. be wary of staff trying to get you to sign up for vacation time share. They dont like taking no for an answer.

The food and service was great. The tiles around the pool had several loose and cracked tiles.

I enjoyed the staying at blue bay villas doradas, but the hotel needs some upgrades. Everything is still the same as twelve years ago when I visited with my family.

This was my third time to this resort. Always a nice stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was also good and plentiful. Selection is excellent.

This was our third time staying at this resort and we appreciate that it has not changed too much. We had a standard room and the only complaints we had about it was the lack of a chair and an air conditioner that made the room too cold. We asked the front desk for a chair, since the only place to sit was on the bed and were told that standard rooms didn't have chairs. We found that we really didn't need the air conditioner at night. The staff at the hotel was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and they do a very good job communicating in multiple languages. We did not go to any of the specialty restaurants and found the main buffet adequate. Breakfasts were very extensive (no egg shortage in the DR). Every night the buffet had a theme (Mexican, Italian, Barbecue, Seafood) and we always found something to eat. With regards to the entertainment program, we did not find it too loud and participation was not forced. The overall vibe was very relaxed. The beach was never crowded and there were not a large number of vendors. We appreciate the resort's adults-only policy which is one of the things that makes us come back here. We also like that there is a mix of nationalities. Canadians seemed to outnumber the Americans and we met a good number of Europeans during our stay.

My husband and I decided to book 3 days at the resort because of its pictures and it looked nice. The resort is indeed not bad, it is a little old but small so everything is walkable. It has limited food options even at night. The bar by the beach offers the same menu every night, no changes at all. The buffet is very repetitive so be aware of that. Some of their staff are extremely rude and sometimes they barely acknowledge you. Everyone keeps calling you "friend" or "family" of the resort but in reality they just keep pushing you to buy their BlueBay VIP membership. It kinds of disturb your vacation because you will have to sit for almost an hour so they can show you the benefits of becoming a VIP. The Chinese is the only good option for food and make sure to pick a different restaurant for each day in advanced since they are always all booked. All the morning Buffett staff were absolutely amazing every day. We had a good time at the pool drinking and talking to different people. If it wasn't for that our experience would be vastly different.

Blue Villas Doradas – Only for the Elderly – Not All-Inclusive I usually don't leave reviews, but in this case, I feel it's necessary to highlight the many negative aspects of this place and the bad experience I had. I’m doing this so people can decide whether to book here or find a better place. Trust me, it won’t be hard to find a better one. Reception and Not All-Inclusive Let’s start with the welcome upon arrival—cold and rushed. The reception staff explained everything very quickly, as if they just wanted to get rid of us. However, they didn’t forget to remind us of all the things that were not included in the “all-inclusive” package, such as the lobby bar with better cocktails, laundry service, the safe, and Wi-Fi. Yes, you heard that right... the safe and Wi-Fi. What kind of resort charges for a safe? I’ve never seen anything like that before… Room We were taken to room 5107 in block 5. The room was old (see photos), and the bathroom was so small that you had to close the door to take a shower. The ceiling was damp and damaged… honestly, a motel room would have been better in comparison. I also noticed that the beach towels weren’t in the room, so I asked for them. I had to wait two hours and remind them three times before finally getting them. But the worst thing about this room was its location—right next to the road outside the resort. The property itself is a bit rundown. The staff are excellent. It is difficult to get bottled water on site, because they limit 2 bottles per room per day. Make sure to make reservations for restaurants early or you won’t get a seat and have to eat at Buffett.

Unfortunately the condition of the property its not good. Food its same everyday and really basic food (the buffet its really small). Staff are really helpful and friendly. But, I plan with 3 days of anticipation a surprise, private, dinner at the beach for my husband's birthday. When I booked the private dinner I advised them that it was going to be a surprise, to please not say anything infront of my husband, and the first thing that one of the staff did was tell me infront of my husband "you have a special dinner at the beach". So it was not a surprise anymore.
