The property was great, property needs to be updated.. better buffet items and needs security.

This hotel lives up to their name by playing some of the greatest hits in the bachata genre. The rooms are outdated furniture wise but the A/C works wonderfully. The food choices are average but they are well cooked. The drinks are also good. The staff’s hospitality is also wonderful

The food wasn’t great and the rooms are damaged and old.

The people here are AMAZING! Cant wait to come back

Food was OK but not great. Other than that the area within the resort was beautiful!

The resorts was clean, beautiful place and the food was good.

So issues with reservations. Room’s AC not in best condition. Lots of work still being done. Asked for reservations for restaurant and nothing available. Expedia charged way more then what its worth. Limited service, and nothing to show us they want us there, as if they had other people to please.

Friendly staff, great entertainment, accessible to the beach which is very clean, short ride to excursion.

Where to even start, I have been to many resorts and this one is by far the worst experience i had in my life. For starters when we got to the resort we were checked in by one of thee rudest receptionist. From there once we were checked in there was no one to take us to the room, we had to flag a man down who had a trolly and assisted us. Once in the room, my niece who is 1 years old found a random pill from what i am guessing was a previous guest, she almost ate this pill. That already showed me they do not clean thoroughly. Then i went to use the rest room and the toilet did not flush properly, i had to fill the trash can with water and pour it down the toilet in order for it to flush. Now onto the dining experience. THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH FOOD! it is the same everyday, the employee's in the dining hall are visibly exhausted because the staff to the amount of guest do not add up. They also allow people from the cruises to enter the resort, so on top of there not being enough food now you have these cruise passengers dining as well. The sister resort Senator doesn't allow you to eat or drink there but you may use their pool which is way better than the one at playa bachata. All of the lounge chairs are broken at the pool and the beach! When i say this was thee worst experience, if i could get a refund i absolutely would. I would stay away from this resort at ALL Cost. Save your money and get an Airbnb instead. I will certainly not be returning.

The persons that works in there are amazing.

This is a true definition of “you get what you paid for!” Property is worn down. Nothing special about the food, they didn’t have a good selection to choose from. Culture food from Dominican Republic would’ve been nice to try. Alcohol wasn’t the greatest. Took me about 7 mojitos and 4 shots to feel tipsy. Staff weren’t very friendly. We stayed at this resort for a week, not a lot of entertainment, night show was boring. Again, a culture show would’ve been amazing to watch. Tourist loved watching my boyfriend and I dance bachata, merengue, or merengue típico. The day of checkout the front desk receptionist didn’t even ask how was our stay during our time at the resort, it was more, “oh you’re checking out OK sign here and best travels.”

Well where to start. This is a decent resort, it’s like a fancy motel 8. Pros: The outside is clean. The pool is nice but small. Big beach. Food almost 24 hours. Cons: Small bad rooms, the shower was more cramped than my RV one. The window hold mold on it. My kind bed was 2 full beds pushed together. Limited WiFi. Only available in the lobby and slower than dial up if you can get it. Best times to get internet between midnight and 2 am after the grandparents go to bed and before the drunk tik tok stars go to post. Would suggest paying extra for your own cell phone service or walk next door to Senator and steal their WiFi. Food, you want eggs for breakfast, pizza for lunch, and pasta for dinner. Good, that’s all you’re getting everyday. And flavor, nope they got a machine they sucks it right out. Every desert tastes the same no matter what it looks like. Rude people, I know it’s hard at a resort to control how people act but they will cut in line and be rude. But on the other end met some nice people too especially the Canadians, thanks for being a good neighbor. Staff, they’re nice but you can tell they don’t want to be there. They’re kneeling down sipping beers behind the counters and slow as can be.

Friendly staff who work hard to keep everything clean including beach. Daily scheduled activities/entertainment. Older resort but good value for decent price. Food is acceptable with a good variety offered every day. Wi-Fi only in lobby area and not very good. Pools are clean and comfortable temperatures. Location is a bit far from Centro. No public transportation. Taxi available. Beach is lovely, large, and clean. We would stay at this place again.

Very disappointed in the resort. Here is what the experience was like: 1.) Room furniture was missing compared to other rooms. 2.) The phone did not work the whole stay. 3.) The toiled did not flush properly on multiple occasions. 4.) The resort food was quite poor even given the price. 5.) The swimming pools were pretty cold. Never been to a resort where the pool temperature was too cold. 6.) Parts of the beach next to the resort had a very rocky floor that one would nee shoes to use. This was very surprising and unpleasant. 7.) The front desk barely spoke English and could not resolve any of the room issues. Bottom Line: Stay away from this resort or risk having an unpleasant experience.
