Brilliant location in the heart of Bristol. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. Very reasonably priced too. The 12pm check-out time was very welcome as well allowing more time in the morning to get sorted

The suite was a lovely space, I wouldnt say it had a huge wow factor...though I'm not sure what they could have done to give it one (it's quite muted in terms of colour scheme etc and I totally get why). Lovely comfy bath and the shower was also good. Bed was a bit hard for my preference, I thought I had read pillow top but it just had a thick removable mattress topper. Pillow options would have been welcome, I didn't ask so this may well have been offered. Executive Lounge was really lovely, yes its in the basement but there is a window so it doesnt feel closed in, food and drink options were great and it never felt busy. It made the trip! Really lovely hotel and we will definitely visit again.

We went to Bristol Hippodrome in the evening so it’s great, walked just around the corner. One member of staff as we approached the desk said she was on a shift change and someone would be out straightaway! Didn’t happen so we ended up queuing all over again to see someone else. At 10:20pm, we returned from theatre to hotel and we could not have a coffee as machine was finished!!! All lights were still on and I’m sure had we been in their Miller & Carter restaurant we would have had one! Poor service for such a grand hotel. Barman was unapologetic. Rooms are quiet except for the usual thoughtless people slamming the bedroom door. Breakfast, no teaspoons with cup & saucers, tables weren’t cleared either all dishes on your table whilst you negotiated a space or empty tables left with dirty dishes on. We would stay again for convenience and car parking but maybe skip breakfast.

Hotel is convenient, but far overpriced for what it is. Room was dated and quite tatty. Kettle in room with instant coffee and tea, not the coffee pod machine as the pictures imply. Breakfast was good but the coffee looked like tea, it was not drinkable. Real shame as I booked it for a 40th.

Hotel was clean and room was comfortable and modern. Breakfast was fine. Gym was good. Car parking was very difficult. Spaces are very narrow so it may take a while to get parked unless you have a small car. If you have a dog be mindful that they charge you £30 (fine - as it is advertised) but they do not allow dogs at breakfast. You are also not allowed to leave them in your room. So we had to split up the family and have breakfast separately which was disappointing. They are allowed in the bar area which is right by the entrance to the breakfast area so they could easily set up some tables for dog owners in the back bar area for breakfast.

The Hotel is very impressive. Room was lovely and staff friendly. I liked the bar too. Barman was young and very engaging and helpful. Only thing (which actually I find in alot of hotels), is the invasive sound of a boiler room/ air conditioning/ fan whatever it was from in the hotel somewhere that made it difficult for me to get off to sleep.
