Holiday Inn MANCHESTER - CITY CENTRE, an IHG Hotel

Rude staff, heavily worn out furniture. Clogged basin.

Generally the hotel environment was fine, but the front desk counter staff (particularly the makes) were terribly rude in all my years and high number of hotel stays! A asian male staff was rude with a very bad attitude right from the onstart of our checking into the hotel, and after our 6 nights stay we were chided and told off on a phone call from another male employee claiming that we have overstayed without checking the facts on their system that we have fully paid for our bookings months ago! It was an unpleasant stay greeted by such bad attitudes from the faces representing the hotel, it's disappointing that the staffs at Holiday Inn are so poorly trained in their customer service! In addition the hotel room was quite a disgrace to provide broken furnitures to their guests. We were surprised to be see the condition we saw.

1 night only but location enabled us to explore inner city area. We found the bed so comfortable.

Staff and property were great! We had the breakfast buffet included with our stay. We really enjoyed that , so many delicious choices. This hotel is close to everything. Loved our stay here. We even went to the Palace theatre only a 10 min. Walk away to see Mary Poppins! Fantastic!

Nice Hotel, lovely breakfast. Staffs were helpful. Its better if theres a hotel parking. Cos we need to walk quite a distance to the parking place. Everywhere is walkable. Great location!

We have stayed here approx 10 times. Great hotel in Manchester for what is not ridiculous money. My only reason for knocking a star off comfort is the quilt covering the mattresa. The breakfast is superb! Now yoy can get your own coffee they are amahing it out of the park!

Spacious room, awesome bathroom, super comfy bed

Requested a slightly firm mattress. Specifically told mattress would be firm at check in. It was terrible in the end I slept on the floor .

Centrally located. Close to train station Tram and restaurants. It was a very busy night so some of the staff were stressed and not as helpful

Staff friendly. Able to check in on arrival.

Comfortable stay in city centre

Quick city break with my toddler who love the views to the tram. Convenient location, close to Piccadilly Station and square. Clean and modern. Friendly reception staff too.

Room was decent size and clean but I surprised to hear that there is no arrangements for heating up baby milk or any other alternative for baby milk. It was really disappointing as we have stayed in other hotels and they have arrangements for that. This should he addressed otherwise this is not a family friendly hotel.

Good location. Staff were brilliant. Soundproofing around the doors needs to be improved, we could hear every word spoken in the corridor. Booked a junior suite for some extra space and a bath. It’s a Holiday Inn, so it wasn’t anything fancy, but the extra space which was welcome. It was clean.
