The hotel is located next to St James's Park, so ideal for going to the match, and across the road is the Stack, which is open to the public, and a fantastic experience with lots of street food booths and bars. Great atmosphere on match days but get there early. The hotel is comfortable but lots of external noise from the Stack.
The breakfast at the hotel was disappointing, typical buffet selection but the the bacon, sausage, & black pudding was over cooked and tasteless.
The reception staff were very helpful.

Reasonable price. Good sized room. Heating very basic - either very hot or cold. Thin duvet, comfy bed. Had suite but living area too narrow to watch tv- tv very close to sofa. Lovely breakfast.

Room wasn’t very clean - stained bath mat, stained toilet seat, leaking shower. Very noisy even on the 9th floor. Dirty corridor leading to the room. Will not be back.

Room not cleaned properly previous guests knickers found down the side of luggage rack on arrival. Noise in the room was terrible from the st james shack across the road. Boom boom boom all day in the room but you cannot hear it at street level.

This is a very nice hotel. However, we were on the Stadium Side on the 3rd floor and on Friday and Saturday evening the music from the St James Stack opposite was very loud until mid-might. If you want a quiet room ask for something at the back of the hotel!
