Tavistock Hotel

I have stayed here many times. This time the experience was not so great. Room (tiny) overlooked the main road - 6th floor. Was noisy and very warm. Supplied ear plugs and fan completely useless. For £140 without breakfast (add another £17 for that) I was expecting a bit more. Location is still fantastic but think I will be looking at alternatives next time.

This was my responsibility but I would have appreciated some accommodation when I showed up a day late. I had mixed up the date because of time zone differences. I had been up for over 24 hours and they could not provide me with the room I paid for, indicating that they give those up for rebooking. I asked if they could give me something for not using towels or housekeeping but the answer was no. I also had to keep checking back if a room was ready. They could have offered to text. Other than that the hotel was nice.

Close to area we wished to explore. Easy to walk to the Tube

Room was clean and location was great. Recommend fortitude bakery for a morning pastry!

Property was clean staff was friendly. Included breakfast was very good, but staff seemed a little inefficient in running morning service. Started at 7am, coffee machine wasnt cleaned yet. But otherwise ok. Tub in room was very high and narrow, was a bit difficult climbing in and out of. Small but comfortable rooms.

Excellent location near museums, restaurants and shops. Tavistock and Gordon Squares are lovely.

Really good location with excellent breakfast. The staff are really friendly. Clean hotel. Our twin room was on the small side. Have to hang clothes on a slant as space is too small. Would definitely stay again but not in room 441.

All Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The bar was very pleasant and the location was very good for us not far from Euston and King’s Cross plenty of places to eat near the British Museum and a short walk to Covent Garden

It's a beautiful hotel in a very pretty setting. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the outdoor dining area with a lovely park as our view.

Hotel is on the older side, No AC, Small Bathrooms If you are a light sleeper as for a room on a higher floor as the 1st floor was loud due to traffic and people walking by

Clean comfortable room, outstanding breakfast.

Went to check in and room wasn’t ready for a maintenance issue. Within 5 minutes it was ready. Plan was to shower, relax, and head back out for dinner. Shower and room were fine but could not get on Wifi. No wifi meant no TV. Went to the front desk and they sent maintenance up. They were very helpful but could not figure out why our room couldn’t get wifi. Maintenance suggested we go to the front desk with them to get a new room. Front desk said there are no other rooms for 3 people and there’s nothing they can do. I was put in contact with the service provider and I was on the phone for 10 minutes giving information about our phones. After a few minutes they said it looks like something on their end. They will call back with an update. Never heard from anyone again and it wasn’t fixed. Had to use 2 international phone passes on Verizon because of this. No TV for this spoiled brat so i struggled falling asleep. Woolf Bar food was good and breakfast was mediocre. Good selection of hot and cold items for breakfast but quality was just OK. Could have eaten better for half the price off the property. London was such a great city we decided to stay longer, just at a different hotel

Front desk personnel couldn’t be more helpful.

We had a terrible night. There is bowling alley/karaoke bar/night club in its basement and the noisy went on until 3am. We had to catch a train at 6am so we hardly slept. The room was small however it was clean. This was not worth what I paid for it.

A+ all around! Amazing breakfast buffet, and great location if you’re using the eurostar train station, EUSTON national rail station, or local underground stations, (Russell Square is closest)
