The Bull Inn

Nice room with a large comfy double bed, overlooking Butchers Walk, with associated noise levels. With Monday being bin day (~7am), the Bull Inn put the empties of the week out at 6am, alarm clock no longer required. The private bathroom is across the corridor and suited for slender folk, not so much 20+ stone behemoths. Barring that, I slept well and the rate was competitive.

Breakfast was lovely size portion very good staff so helpful, only thing to complain about was the bathroom damp and shower curtain let water out onto the floor thats our only complaint but would definitely stay again.

There wasnt really a check in as such but thst was nothung compared to the room and bathroom..the room was poor and the bathroom was off it which is not what i expected..worse than thst the bathroom was tiny you would struggle if your a big person which i am so you couldnt swing a cat in there ..very tiny and tight to move around woukd not recommend staying here

Kathryn was a great host

I should know better than to book a room at an inn because generally, the rooms are over a pub this one had music at night until 1115. But the worst thing was that the private bathroom was across a corridor. Not so good for nighttime visit. The bathroom also was tiny. Anyone smaller than me would not have been able to use the toilet or the shower the Wi-Fi was nonexistent overall a very unsatisfactory experience

Lovely staff, clean room amazing breakfast

The breakfast was freshly made and was presented nicely. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean. The only small thing that let it down was that the bathroom door could do with a clean. I would return again, no problem. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was excellent.

Basic accommodation but certainly clean, comfortable and an excellent night’s sleep. Staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts are really good. And it’s brilliant just to be able to tumble into bed above the bar where you’ve been enjoying live music. Great value for money (and we are repeat visitors !)

Lovely stay but it felt like there were no windows in thr room as you could here everything going on outside.

The rooms are a bit worn but right in the middle of Shrewsbury.

This is a beautiful building, fabulous location in historic Shrewsbury. The rooms are fine, nothing special but not awful - bit tired, carpets were stained and windows filthy but comfy bed, The private bathroom was tiny and had mold on the shower frame and tiles. It's only a 5 minute walk from the NCP car park which is a good value £7.95 for 24 hours if you pay by the app so don't let the lack of parking facilities put you off. We stayed on a Saturday night and the live music from the Bull and neighbouring places was LOUD! Went on till gone midnight but then it was fairly quiet and nice to have no traffic noise. Breakfast looked great but we had the full English and you could taste the ingredients were cheap, sausages went straight to the dog! So, mixed bag but good value overall.
