Wonderful staff,extremely helpful,lovely hotel is my second stay here,I’ll certainly be back

its unique look

stayed in the family room , clemintine ,it had a double bed and 2 singles room was very small and dark with a view of a brick wall with a murel of york on it only one window opens and not enough for any air to come in ,the room was very hot even with no heating on, water pressure for the bath was terrible took 30 minutes to fill the bath for my son the water came out so slow ,shower was fine however. There was a loud annoying buzzing sound coming from the wall next too door by 10:30 we got sick of hearing it and it was keeping our son awake .who has autisim and is not the best sleeper to start with,so we rang reception and they said it was the fans from the kitchen that must of been left on,they did go and turn them off but they didnt stop with that annoying noise till 10:45 we had 2 nights booked but cause of no fault to the hotel i fell ill and we left after just one night as i couldnt face another baking hot night ,they did offer us another room but said that may still be a hot room too,so i just wanted to leave and get home to my own bed ,i do understand i couldnt get a refund for leaving early we did ask if we could get a refund for carparking which we got told they would have to ask the manager but heard nothing back about this on a plus location is great ,just off a19 so easy to find and only a 5 min walk to the city walls , sainsburys local just a few blocks down,and the food was lovely ,had a amazing pizza and my fussy eater son demolished the lot.

Our stay at the Churchill hotel was perfect. Clean and well presented. Comfortable and cosy. Close to the city and a pleasant walk to the station. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. A great choice.

Comfy stay in a pretty room with a view of the minster from bed. The bath in the room was a nice touch, as were the fixtures in bathroom too. Only downside was finding some discarded alcohol bottles in a cupboard, but didn’t taint our stay overall. Would return.

Great hotel with attentive staff, issue at check in was sorted immediately and we were mived to another room. Rooms are on the small side, but if you're out and about all day, as we were, its not an issue. Flooring i the bathroom needs re-laying however, as it has lifted away. Would stay again.

A fabulous stay in the Marlborough room at the Churchill. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was situated close to the city centre. The room itself was phenomenal, I slept like a baby, the perfect getaway. I will be recommending it to all family and friends. The only downside is that the room didn’t have a fridge to keep drinks cool, but you can’t have everything!

The hotel was beautiful and historical. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was really small and parking in their parking lot is difficult. In walking distance to all the amazing sites.

Upon arrival surrounding was amazing, check in reception both staff were polite friendly helpful, room was amazing clean tidy very spaced out, outside seating was exceptionally comfortable, also short stroll to city centre

Lovely friendly hotel in a quiet - but convenient - area of York Pricey breakfast though so skipped it I am afraid

Great hotel. 4 poster room and was excellent and recently refurbished. Only thing missing was a fridge. Good location and parking in york is a bonus.

Room was a small double and it was small. Bed not very comfortable duvet cover torn in couple of places. There was a constant hum during the night that’s wasn’t conclusive of a good nights sleep.. mirror light in bathroom difficult to turn on and off almost falling apart. Extractor unit very loose. Shower not great covers the floor whin in use.

Location is excellent and staff was very professional and helpful.

I stayed here on a business trip. Fantastic hotel, with beautiful rooms. I unfortunately didn't have a chance to spend time in the Hotel Bar. But it looked very nice. I plan to stay at this hotel any time I am in York.

Had a very enjoyable stay at The Churchill Hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good nights sleep in a comfortable room. Would stay here again .
