We had an excellent check in with Hunor, who was really accomodating, as we were late. A beautiful old building, busy, with a good atmosphere. The room is beautiful.

Our stay didn’t start too well, we had booked 2 rooms 6 weeks prior to our stay, one room for two adults and one room for two adults and a child. When we checked in we were given two rooms both with one double bed and no bed for the child. Luckily they had one room left which was big enough to accommodate two adults and child. The staff were very good and attentive. The room we had was very compact with peeling wallpaper hanging from one of the walls and dimly lit which is great if you just want ambient lighting but with no light by the bedside it was very awkward to read in bed. Bathroom was very nice with a lovely shower although the toilet flush handle was broken. Tea and coffee making facilities were great. The only other negative was the constant drone of what sounded like an extraction fan going all night. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel as I would not return.

I booked this as an anniversary treat and specifically asked for a nice room and a romantic table for dinner. There was no one to greet us at reception. Bar staff were rude and not helpful. Our room was quirky but right above the noisy bar which just got noisier as the night went on. The tv had no internet connection which we made the staff aware of - they did nothing ti resolve it. When we arrived for dinner the restaurant was almost empty and our romantic table was slap bang in a walkway. We asked to move to another. No candles were lit and the waitress took our menus away before we’d even ordered. We both had steak and mine was so fatty I could not eat it. The bed was the noisiest creaky bed I’ve ever come across. Would never recommend

Lovely Sunday night stay at a charming Inn. The staff were very polite and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The room was a little hot but there was a Dyson fan which worked well. In the bedroom were Coffee and tea making facilities and an iron and ironing board. There was no wardrobe but there was a hanging rail ( definitely ok for an overnight stay). I took my own hairdryer and didn’t see one in the room. Plenty of plugs available and a large TV. The bed was comfortable and bedding and towels clean. The bathroom was more than adequate with a large shower and shampoo and body wash provided. Breakfast had a good continental selection and a choice of hot breakfasts. It was very tasty .. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate in coming back .

We stayed here overnight for our wedding anniversary. I emailed the hotel prior to our visit to ask for a specific room and was pleasantly surprised on arrival to find that we had been allocated the room we’d asked for. This was very much appreciated, everything was just right, the toiletries in the bathroom, the feather pillows, the friendly staff and a very tasty good quality breakfast made our stay a memorable one. Thank you.

Checking in was a it chaotic as it as done in a very noisy bar area, stairs leading to room was a bit of a challenge for our elderly dog. Room was lovely although very dark with dark furniture and very low levels of lamp lighting, no main ceiling lights.breakfast was good and the evening dinner was not bad, although not much choice and we were a little disappointed that we had to sit in the noisy bar to eat even though we had booked a table in their restaurant area we were not aware they did not allow dogs in that area even though they said they were dog friendly pub, it was a puzzle. Overall the stay was pleasant but I did think it was overpriced. Wouldn’t rush back there because of the points I have mentioned but mainly the excessive price tag for the stay

It’s a very peaceful Hampshire village with a good ambience and a historic pub that rents out six rooms that are full of character. There are nice touches like slippers and bathrobes provided along with an Nespresso machine and a good smart TV. Also, excellent bath salts etc to make your stay enchanting. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and made with the best artisan produce. All in all highly recommended.

Room was great - loads of character and "oldy worldy" charm. Unfortunately everything else was pretty average - had to order evening meal at the bar, food average, service generally lacking (pretty much run by kids) and very noisy. Breakfast okay.
