The Kensington Hotel

We see the reviews and really took a risk as there was not many good ones.when we arrived the hotel does look a little tired it needs a little love and attention to detail but we was pleasantly surprised with our room it was airy and clean and that was our main concern.also we got a up grade so that was a bonus for the price you can’t go wrong tbf everything is near so that’s always a bonus 👍

No dryer working No soap or hand wash in toilets No Hot water coming Asked for fan . No Fans available So sfocated rooms

Our room was a nice size for 3 of us, the beds had random feet on them, pieces of wood glued together.. little things 1 toilet roll , the tv didnt work, the shower doors we falling off, no shower gel ; etc provided, the toilet seat was loose and kept moving, the sink was dirty under the rim..no matching furniture in the room, under the cabinets dirty found a random piece of wood, only 2 cups when 3 off us stayed, so not enough tea , coffee etc..a old mattress, and other rubbish left at the back of the carpark, in full view..the fire exit door was very hard to open, used for a smoking area..people unfortunately moaning about their stay in reception, when we arrived and left .

The room was very dirty, the towels were dirty, the beds smelled bad, we had to ask them to change the sheets because they smelled bad.

The furnishings poor, lack of storage, general lack of propery maintenance, blinds broken, curtains not drawing correctly, pull cord to bathroom light not long enough had to chase staff for coffee and milk and no housekeeping done in the five day stay.

Friendly Staff. Not far from beach. Downside was the noise coming from next room of loud music. Also lot of banging doors till early hours of the morning.

When checking into the hotel we were made aware the bar and the restaurant were both shut. The room was disgustingly dirty, with splashes of something all up the walls and the floors clearly hadn't been cleaned in months. In the middle of the night, we were woken by a man barging into the room to 'check the smoke alarm' woke both kids up and with no apology at all! The general condition of the property was awful and we would not be staying again.

The rooms are dirty, there is no hand sanitizer, they wrote online that there is breakfast and they charge you, but they didn’t have it. The quality of the rooms is very low. The sounds of other rooms come into your room and you can’t sleep. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Stayed 1 night to catch early ferry next morning...wouldn't want to stay longer No remote control for television . No toiletries I think you get what you pay for . Room we used had a small kitchen area with nothing in cupboards, empty fridge space , Free car park good

Good location. No restaurant in the hotel. Reception was closed when we arrived (we were early, but worried about parking before we checked in). Rooms were okay, but the furniture was a bit "tired". Probably just about value for money considering a last minute booking in August at a decent location in Bournemouth.

I had 2 of my contractors stay here, they were bitten to death, the rooms were unclean, the hotel was noisy. We will not stay here again

poor or non-existent service at reception; poor maintenance of walls, bathroom; no housekeeping in 3 days, even not emptying bins or renewing towels nor tea bags

Useful location but hotel is very old fashioned, bed is basically a mattress on the floor, no shower gel or soap in the room and didn’t feel clean. Not good value

Booked a hotel with parking. Couldn't park

Someone was lurking around my car In the car park, made us feel uneasy. Our room was filthy, turned the cups over and they were brown inside, dust everywhere, broken blinds, mould in the bathroom. Holes in the walls, broken furniture, would not stay here again if they paid me!

Outdated, rude, no proper parking, fire alarm kepy going off, very noisy, no sign of a bar, the desk worker, walked in our room without knockin, didnt speak apology or anything, just walked in looked round and out again, my kids with special needs didnt feel safe staying we left very early thay morning and didn't stay for our second night, not recommend at all stay away no offer of a refund either

No frills but cheerful seaside hotel. Convenient location and good size room. Don't expect luxury but friendly service and simple accommodation.

Good location, walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Very clean, easy check in and was told all about the area and history of the hotel.

Terrible and nit suitable for the price .

Where shall i start... i read the reviews on Expedia when booking and thought the place looked okay for a one night stay. Upon our arrival we got a half hour history lesson that was well intended but after 8 hours on the road our bladders were ready to burst. The host didnt seem to notice that we all had heavy bags and were tired. Our room was in the basement . The first inspection of it was decent. Two double beds and a single. Turns out that the reviews on google were more accurate than expedia. The single bed ended up being a box spring with beddjng on it. The double beds were awful, mine was collapsing on one side. The thin excuses for pillows left us with sore necks. We had to ask for more towels. One was provided and there were four of us booked in. We were handed an extra towel and another bath mat. So two towels for four people... thanks. Doesnt look like we were bitten by any bed bugs thank goodness... i do not recommend this place.
