Clean rooms, excellent breakfast. Near great restaurants and pubs.

Woodlands is very cute and the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! The only issue is that I wish my bed was made, so housekeeping is not very good.

The staff were amazing. So accommodating and friendly. We even got upgraded. The people had no idea we lost my dad in February and were honouring him on his birthday but they made it perfect

Perfectly positioned, staff very friendly and couldn't fault it with the price we got for 5D/4N. Breakfast selection is amazing and the room was fantastic. It was great that the sun has been with us the past 5 days! Will definitely come back

Returning customer, allocated room 16 king size bed and spacious room. However, there is an adjoining room door which is securely locked, the staff use this room and at 9.30pm we could hear the staff talking loudly and laughing which was uncomfortable because only a door between us. Also, the adjoining room had the light on all night which was a little disturbing. My wife was worried that the staff could open the door at anytime but I’m sure they couldn’t .

Could not fault the guest house excellent service ,only criticism the rooms could be more sound proof as we were on the ground floor and the noise from upstairs was very noisy but they did accommodate us on the last night and moved us to the top room 14 very cosy and quite, the breakfasts where beautiful and staff top rated .

Two rooms for 3 people. What a wonderful friendly place. Stayed for 2 nights, the location is really good for location to travel by car or public transport. The guest house itself is really clean, staff super friendly ,lovely rooms and a great breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we will definitely go back again

The stay was good. The hotel was good value for money and was very clean. Staff were helpful and professional. The location is great - walkable to Windermere and Bowness. The parking was mostly ok - there is more parking at the back of the property, however at one point the manager had blocked the entrance to the car park with their own vehicle which meant it was not accessible to guests. This was poor form in our opinion - the receptionist hesitantly advised it was the managers vehicle when we made them aware there was a car blocking the car park and that we’d parked a few streets away - and nervously offered to ask them to move it - but knowing how limited the parking is, the manager shouldn’t have blocked the access. A couple of other points for improvement: the 4-poster bed whilst a nice idea wasn’t very practical as the view of the TV from the bed was blocked by one of the posts. Water was also not replenished each day, we were only given one small bottle each in the room when we arrived. The decor in places was tired - the hotel could do with a refresh, but overall this was good value for money and we would stay here again.

Very lovely place for our stay in Windermere, the location is good to Windermere town center and also Bowness Pier. The accommodation is clean and comfort as expected. The breakfast tastes good too.

It was overall lovely. Room we had had another door only accessible by the staff. As my husband walked out of the shower. And i was sleeping, they loudly knocked and barged in...very uncomfortable. We couldnt access that door and felt quite unsafe having that door there. The dust ontop of the curtains , under the bed was a lot.. triggered some allergies. Was a beautiful lodge and breakfast was great.

Everything was wonderful

Beautiful stay. Great location, beds comfy and breakfast is great. All the staff are really nice and hard working too. Only downside is the noise from other guests either walking around their rooms, banging doors or snoring next door.

Lovely,quiet location. Friendly helpful staff. Room was tastefully decorated. Breakfast had several options and was superbly cooked. Would definitely stay at Woodlands again

Room 17 massive bed but mattress need to be replaced delves in the middle and both end up in the middle of the bed.plus room 17 is right under the dining room so from 07.00 its like marching men all morning.but this is only room 17.one other thing we got told bar was open until 10.30 but the shutters came down at 21.50 with not even a do you want another drink
