Expedia Group verified review

The male receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful. Almost threw my phone back at me after fixing a problem that he had caused. Then told us there were restaurants 200 metres away. One was spud-u-like (or similar) the other was in the rugby stadium. Internet connection didn’t work as intended nor did lift security. Breakfast was very limited - if things ran out they didn’t replace them, and the server started clearing things away half an hour before finishing time. We had stayed at campanile in Le Mans the night before - great experience there, very different to what we experienced in Clermont.

Dirty, peanuts and dust on the floor, broken window did not lock kept opening, tiny pillows, usb charging sockets did not work. Very basic breakfast. Nothing around the hotel. Huge traffic jam every morning and evening right in front of hotel leaving tram the only reasonable option to get to town.

The hotel is new . Everything was new . Very clean. Staff were very good & helpful. The only downside was the menu . The food was good but I did not want a burger . I was look forward to some French food . Breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again but go to a restaurant to eat .

This was my first stay at a Campanile hotel and it was a good experience. The particular unit I stayed in was compact, but well laid out, and very functional for what I needed. The hotel seems to be quite new and is in very good condition. The room was very clean and the staff welcoming when I arrived. There was a terrace available on the main floor which I found useful. I Have since stayed at another Campanile and I was also content with that hotel as well.

Four of us went to watch rugby.The Hotel is literally across the road from the stadium. Rooms were very clean and quite spacious with twin beds. The breakfast was fresh and on a help yourself basis and good value. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We used the underground car park provided by the hotel for Euro 8 a day. There is a tram service opposite the hotel that can take you into the city centre or it is a 25 minute walk. We will definitely use this hotel again if Bath Rugby play Clermont Ferrand again.
