This hotel was absolutely amazing and felt truly luxurious. The price is worth it for the views alone. I booked it mainly for the beach area and the infinity pool, and it did not disappoint. I stayed in a room with a balcony and ocean view—the balcony was huge, with incredible views of the water and all the boats docked nearby. The location is also perfect, with easy access to towns like the village of Èze and Villefranche-sur-Mer. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat.

The Staff were 10 stars. They couldn’t have been more helpful. The Hotel is fabulous. Its history and its up to date style now are fantastic. Beautiful infinity Pool set in well cared for gardens. Indoor pool for serious swimming. So photogenic. Took many photos. The small private beach is a real treat. Cuisine is wonderful from breakfast to their special Chef’s menu. There’s no need to leave this heavenly haven. A perfect relaxing sanctuary.

Absolutely exceptional! Exactly what you would imagine French Riviera to be. The rooms, the views, the resort, the service was outstanding. I honestly can’t say enough good things. We prefer this more intimate hotel over Four Seasons in the area actually. We didn’t want to leave!

A beautiful hotel, we absolutely enjoyed the stay. However, it would have been helpful for the hotel to have told us prior to arrival that half of their facilities were closed already for the season. Only food option on property was a Michelin started restaurant tasting menu, or room service. The other restaurant had been closed with no warning for the duration of our stay.

This place lives up to and actually exceeds the beauty of the pictures you see. Sometimes the photography of the hotels make it look “more than it is” but you will NOT be disappointed. The size of the property, (grounds, pool & pool deck, beach area, places to dine and drink etc) are quite vast for the amount of guest rooms! What a treat. Can’t say enough about this historic hotel. Absolutely amazing and so many spots to enjoy the wonderful view, have a meal or drinks. A very large pool and sun deck area and then another sundeck area down on the sea. Didn’t want to leave. Service was top-notch without being pretentious. Amazing staff in every department! Front desk was so helpful and friendly. Valet to housekeeping to servers, pool & beach crew .. everyone we encountered was excellent!

Beautifully hotel among breath-taking surroundings of Cote d'Azur. The grounds are lovely, the rooms very well appointed. Had dinner at the restaurant - the food was first rate, with a very fine wine list. The service - from the front desk to room service and even housekeeping - was flawless. They have a number of other treatments at their spa but I went for a massage which was very good. To balance out what would otherwise simply read GREAT all round, here are some considerations: - It is a long and winding drive to get here - and so think about it as more of a destination spot, and a fine one at that. - It's not inexpensive, but then you get what you pay for. I thought it was worth it.

There is no denying this property itself is amazing - stunning views, seclusion/privacy, and proximity to Nice and Monte Carlo. But, service was indifferent (one of many examples was that we did not receive a goodbye or thank you upon leaving the property despite being the only people departing or even just in the lobby at the time) or nonexistent (eg there is no concierge and no service at the lobby bar). The shower smelled like mildew, and the air conditioning in our room did not function properly (the front desk did try to assist us with this issue - by giving us a second room to sleep in that smelled so strongly of mildew that we decided to just sleep in the warm room where only the shower smelled of mildew). We felt like, especially for the price and small size of the property, service should’ve been far better (eg greeting us by name, stronger pool service, and nicer waitresses at the ficus restaurant). In the future, we might return if management of the property is turned over to a hotel group, but, until then, the lack of service unfortunately overshadowed the beauty and uniqueness of the property itself, in our opinion.

Beautiful hotel and property with incredible dining options. Our only critique would be the helpfulness and friendliness of the restaurant staff. At times multiple people were rude in response to our innocent questions regarding food preferences/limitations based on what we were ordering. I think it’s fair to ask questions at a Michelin star restaurant where you don’t have line of sight into the menu they will eventually serve you but will be spending over $500 for two people. That type of initial impression at such a nice restaurant sets a bad tone, and is a bit of a bummer. Otherwise, everything was absolutely pristine and perfect. The location is one of the most beautiful in the world, and the room was very comfortable and clean.

Staying at the Cap Estel felt like staying at a family home, because it is. The suites are generously designed to allow a group to have 3 or 4 bedrooms and share a very spacious living room, dining room and salon. Everything about the hotel was first rate, including the staff who are extremely helpful and attentive. The grounds themselves are beautiful. The hotel's management is clearly at the top of its game.
