What Guests Say About Their Stay

The suite is lovely, beautifully decorated. Wonderful clawfoot bathtub and powerful shower. The record player was a nice feature though the speakers were not connected well. Instructions would be useful. I didn't use the TV at all and the room would be nicer without it, but I understand some travellers like to have it. Room service breakfast was quick and delicious but pricing was unclear as the room book was obviously out of date. Sound from the street carries up in the night so you can hear some loud partygoers, but the room is quiet otherwise. All the staff were lovely.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Providence. Our room which was a junior suite was absolutely charming, and the bathroom was gorgeous and clean. My mother’s room was small but also totally charming and lovely. The beds were extremely comfortable. However, the extra bed for our child (10yrs) was an inflatable bed, and he could not sleep in it. It is not worth the extra cost. Everyone on the staff is outstandingly kind. The concierge Pauline is amazing, an absolute treasure to the hotel. We were so grateful for everyone’s kindness, assistance, and welcoming nature. The hotel is extremely cozy, the breakfast food is very good. And the staff, again, is very lovely and competent. The area is not perfectly located for all things in Paris, but we loved it. We would recommend a stay, to be sure. And would happily stay again,

Great location with easy accessability to metro. A small hotel with character. Breakfast, dinner and bar great choice, good quality and service. Concierge very helpful with advice and directions. Only thing stopping me from a 5-star is size of room- superior room was 21m2, however felt smaller due to in-room cocktail bar. Very trendy, goes with the vibe of the hotel, and many would love it, but I would have preferred the extra space or a desk

Loved our stay at Hotel Providence. I booked this hotel for my partner’s birthday as we enjoy staying in boutique hotels and this place did not disappoint. Every staff member we encounter during our stay were so welcoming and friendly, I mentioned it was my partner’s birthday to concierge prior to arrival and as a special surprise they upgraded us from the smallest room to the superior.

Upon entrance, the style and design of the hotel strikes you in the bar and restaurant. The staff matches that energy. It's uncommon for me to feel as if the staff is genuinely happy to have me as their guest, and even stopped what they were doing to offer a glass of champagne upon arrival. The room is gorgeous, and looks over a quiet street below. Each element is thoughtful, and far from boring. This is a gem. It's in a cool area, feels safe, and was buzzing around 11pm when we arrived on a Saturday night. We did not want to leave Monday night. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed for summer holiday during our stay, but I'm sure that break is well deserved with the experience we had. Will 100% return, and not even explore a different option.

It would have been nice to have been notified there was a movie being filmed next to the hotel in the evening/night for over a week; which made it miserable at night. You need to bring earplugs if you are staying over the weekend at this hotel. It is very comfortable otherwise. Hard to get a taxi due to the one way street in front of the hotel, so use the side street to get pick up and drop off. If it is your first time in Paris, I would highly recommend staying in either the second or ninth districts as you will be much closer to attractions. Unless you are familiar with the metro, bus & RER lines you will be miserable at this location as this is a requirement to get around. Taxis are expensive in Paris. It is a minimum two to three mile walk to the general attractions. If you have been to Paris before and are looking to stay near Le Marais without being in that area, this is a great location. This is a perfect location for someone wanting to visit Paris, stay on the outskirts of the city and use public transportation to get around. I would not bring my children to this location. While I feel it is totally safe, this hotel is definitely more of an adult vibe. The food at the hotel is wonderful. Bartenders are extremely friendly. Restaurant wait staff definitely needs training, for French standards. In the room beware of the ice trays - they are not cleaned and mine contained red rust.
