Mercure Hotel Duesseldorf Ratingen

Just sufficient as a place to sleep and that’s all we needed. I really appreciate they were open for check in at a very late time.

Great breakfast, could do with two pillows instead of one. The room serves the purpose perfectly even though the decor is tired

Was there with my son and the staff was very controlling of everything. We felt very inconvenient and got the feeling that every time they will comparing us with asylum seeker. We will never book this hotel again!!!

Good choice for the money. Big and comfortable bed. Lobby looks much better than rooms themselves. But was happy to have a cattle and coffee/tea.

Good hotel. Super friendly staff. McDonald's restaurant 2 mins away which is a binus, as nothing else to grab a bite to eat. Small restaurant just outside, but Limited opening hours. Definitely out the way, 30-40 euros to airport by taxi. Train station 40 minute walk, but bus service from sration on at the moment. Not the hotels fault of course. Not convenient to get too after journey, but well priced.

Check in was slow, and receptionist could not find booking despite providing hotels.com itinerary number. Hotel restaurant was shut for the three days of our stay claiming the chef was off work however the bar was also shut for the duration of the stay, unacceptable.

I booked the Mercure Hotel with the expectation to spend a three days week-end in a confortable and relaxing atmosphere. I was participating to the ironman triathlon in Duisburg, and I wanted to avoid any stress by staying in a Mercure Hotel franchise. The result was totally the opposite from my expectation. Over the three days period, no hot water was available for shower during two days !! I had to take some cold water showers in the morning !!! When I did feedback the reception about the situation, they told me that "this is not their problem, it is a technical problem". I had to complain a few minutes to get their apologize !!! it was mentionned on the Hotel notice car parking where available. It was simply a lie, only few park places where avaible (<20). I had to park my car in a industrial area street in a zone where parking was somehow tolerated but totaly unsecure. A lot of Hotel residents were also in the same situation. The reception desk managers where absolutely unfriendly, showing no empathy and showing no respect for the customer. I was expecting at least at bit of fake empathy about the hot water problem but no miracle happened. Staying at the Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf - Ratingen was unpleasant and I do not recommend anybody to stay there. It should be mentionned in their introduction that hot water is not available everyday, and that you can park your car but not at the Hotel.

Booked at last minute with super helpful reception - great to arrive after a x12 hour delay on the Eurotunnel with a warm welcome. Perfect stayover on our way to Czech Republic.

Disappointed the bar & restaurant was not operating yet restaurants were operating nearby. Probably would choose different hotel because of that

Had a good stay at this hotel. Pros: Clean, good size room, friendly staff, free internet, ample parking, McDonald and a good German restaurant across the street. Cons: No in room refrigerator/mini bar. Must have a car to get around.

Everything was excellent, the staff was so polite and courteous and helpful. I really enjoyed my visit.

Check-in was seamless and the room comfortable, though not outstanding. Just a pretty good hotel room. Breakfast was very good. A hot and cold buffet with plenty to chose from. Restaurant on site. You park on the streets around the hotel once the relatively small parking is full. It was not a problem. I found a spot just 100 yards from the entrance. The immediate area is not particularly attractive, but the fact that Dusseldorf airport is just a few miles away is nice. For the price, it's actually a good deal. Hotels near Dusseldorf and/or the airport are insanely expensive. I was relieved to find this Mercure at an acceptable price...

Good hotel and provides free access to the local Gym

One of the ladies was rude at checkin and the other was helpful. I wish a moni.fridge would uave been available. The site said there was Air Conditioning however we had to open the windows to cool off. Very close to the airport but you have scheduled the shuttle a day prior but we checked in at 1040pm & was told it was too late to request the morning shuttle. Basic hotel, but there is a McDonald's across the road.

Comfortable, immaculately clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. Food was good and although it is a bit remote this is a good option if you have a car.

Nice room but pillow needs to be changed, it was so uncomfortable. Just get normal pillows please

We had to change our room 3 times because the first one smelled after cigarette smoke even though it was a "non smoking" room; second room the heater didn't work and the third one was offered on the first floor which was completely outdated. This hotel is no more than a 2-2.5 star hotel in our opinion as their rooms are very small and outdated. The staff were somewhat friendly but not a 4-5 star level friendly. I would not go back to this hotel at all!
