Paradise in the jungle. From the sights and sounds of the beautiful river below, to all of surrounding tropical plants on and off the property, this place is a must see. Every room in the house is huge with extra high vaulted ceilings and beautiful architeture. Every room can be both indoor and outdoor depending on your choice of how to use your windows. Large openings can be fully open, fully closed or fully screened. That being said, there’s no escaping your jungle adventure here with the exception of well placed ceiling fans and portables provided for you to place where you want them. If you’re like me, you might find yourself spending a little time with a portable right in front of you. There’s a path from the front of the property, straight down to the river if you’d like to cool off more naturally. There’s river rafting, hiking adventures, including a tall mountain waterfall, and lots of other activities near by. For dinner, you will be surprised by the incredible food and drinks with decent prices just a few minutes from the hotel. And breakfast at this b and b won’t disappoint you either. We were served a nice plate of sweet ripe fruit, a cold fruit smoothie, along with a nice traditional breakfast of eggs, toast, refried beans with cream and a couple tortilla chips, right there at a table overlooking the river. You are outside “inside” the entire house and loving every minute of it. The dirt road to this place is included in the adventure and the price. A must see!

What a beautiful property and hospitable staff! A bed and breakfast doesn't get any better than this. Don't hesitate to stay here if you are looking for a clean, tranquil place with mountain activities close by. It was the perfect ending to our trip.

We loved our stay with John, Soledad, Yani, and Jessica! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! The villa is beautiful and only a few minutes walk from the El Bejuco waterfall, the Honduran chocolate factory, and Omega tours, all of which i would highly recommend checking out. If I were returning I would plan to bring some snacks, as the villa is mostly equipped to provide meals - that being said John went the extra mile to provide us with popcorn when we were looking for a snack after our hike. Omega down the road also has some great food. All in all this is the perfect place to relax in a hammock, watch the birds, play with some very cute dogs and forget about the world for a bit 😊

We only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer. La Villa de Soledad is a beautiful mansion in the traditional Spanish style with an open courtyard. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. John and Soledad were kind and accommodating hosts. We had an incredible dinner there cooked by Soledad - maybe the best during our trip to Honduras. The short walk down to the river is really nice and it honestly beats having a pool.

We drove 3 hours to the hotel and were turned away by the Honduran military in the mountains on the way to the hotel, about 3ish miles from the hotel. I immediately turned around and drove to the closest place that I could get cell service. I attempted to contact the hotel immediately, but there was no phone number listed on Hotels.com. I contacted Hotels.com and they advised me they could do nothing and to contact the hotel and gave me the phone number. I contacted the number via What's App, and several hours later, the hotel contacted me and said they could not refund me because they already charged me and my room was ready. I am a frequent traveler to Honduras and have never encountered this. The right thing to do would be to refund us because we were not able not reach the hotel, due to the military. We were forced to book another hotel because it was so late in the day and cold not drive three hours back due to curfew in the country.
