Such a beautiful peaceful place! My husband and I have traveled to many places and we highly recommend the Gothus!

Gorgeous ocean view, facing west west so you can see the sunset. Very spacious apartment, it was my daughter’s favorite, with the sofa bed surrounded by books, a telescope to look out to see, and very comfy chairs! The espresso maker took me a while to figure out (had to watch 3 YouTube videos 😝), but once I did, it made beautiful coffee! Very convenient spot to base our 2 day exploration of the Snaefellsness peninsula. Also, it was the only place we stayed at that provided a welcome snack, beer and a little red wine, with a nice welcome note. Very charming.

To hear the ocean as you go to sleep and wake up is as relaxing as it gets. The unit is spacious, clean, and the view is spectacular. As we wound our way around Iceland, this was by far the highlight of our lodging. I would recommend Gotuhus to anyone planning a stay in the area, even for just a night. You will not be disappointed. I very rarely write reviews because most places are just like the others. Gotuhus, however, is quite special.

It is a lovely cozy place to stay. The views were amazing even tho it was foggy But I am sure is stunning when the sun is out. It has everything you need. Loved it

Amazing view.

Truly a gorgeous apartment on the sea looking out at the Atlantic and the fjords. Amazing sunset views and we saw the aurora borealis our one night there. It is also minutes from the stunning national park at the end of the snaefellsnes peninsula. Best bed and sleep we had in Iceland, would highly recommend. Only thing is the grocery store and even gas station close around 6 (at least on Sunday when we were there) so get groceries early if you need food or plan to cook here!

Fabulous views, and saw a seal and her 2 pup swimming right outside from the balcony. Spacious and clean, and quite peaceful.

The view and sound of the water was very nice. The washer and dryer was much appreciated. The shower was hand spray only with no overhead and the flooring was coming apart, js

Bring your slippers!!! This apartment is beautiful, ocean front, but freezing!! We had both heaters running on high, the oven door open and ran the dryer just to add some heat to the place. Don't plan on doing your laundry; the washer only holds about 4 items. The views made the misery worth it! Just wear lots of layers to bed.

Great location, right at the ocean with spectacular view. The place has everything that's necessary, it's functional, comfortable, quiet and cozy. The apartment has an extra electrical heater in case it is needed, which worked perfectly and super fast. Some furniture is a bit dated but everything was functioning properly and we liked it. Good bed, great shower and finally a chance for us to do the laundry. The only thing is that the front door cannot be locked from inside or at least we couldn't figure out how. Still without the code, no one can come in.We can definitely recommend it!

Amazing location and very clean. Funiture and floors are a bit dates, but that doesn’t matter. It is such a nice place to be.
