My stay at Ambhara was so wonderful! I chose this hotel because I loved the interior, it matched my aesthetic perfectly. Everything about the experience was comfortable, especially the location. This is an old hotel that needs upgrading as it's no longer a comfortable place to stay. Much of the property is damaged and unsuitable, and the room's bedsheets are yellowing. The plus side is its proximity to everything and the Blok M culinary center.

I booked two rooms of the same type, but found out they had different amenities. The one on the 5th floor had a bathtub and mini-chiller, while the one on the 3rd floor didn't. I only found out about this when I was about to check out.

I booked two rooms of the same type, the second for my child, but got different room types. My child's room on the 3rd floor had no bathtub and no mini chiller. My room on the 5th floor had a bathtub and chiller. Even though I had requested the same floor when I checked in (my child checked in the day after me). I was reluctant to complain directly, because the receptionist was not helpful when I wanted to ask for my child's room, so I was forced to go down to the lobby... but in reality, I was still given a room on a different floor. Oh well... For the other staff, such as security and room service, it was very good. 👍👍👍

My first time staying here, I got room 4420. My first impression was that the hotel was an old building that had been well-maintained. I got a smoking room (even though I don't smoke). The floor wasn't carpeted, so it was very cold. Yes, because the AC was very cold even on the hottest setting (I prefer this to a cold AC). Unfortunately, the room was lacking in cleanliness. I saw a cockroach in the room, and the bathroom exhaust was off, making it stuffy in the bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and had a fairly extensive selection. The price was reasonable for a hotel like this.

The hotel staff were accommodating. The hotel is old but it is comfortable. Point to improve: the room needs more sockets where guests can use. We only had one socket to use in our room. Nevertheless, it is a pleasant experience.
