My three-night stay at Bobopod Malioboro was very memorable. The location is strategic, with plenty of culinary options and souvenir shops just a short walk away. Initially, I didn't have high expectations for a room price this cheap. But from check in, I was served very well, super friendly, the place was clean and fragrant. Bobopod Malioboro was a unique and welcome respite. It's budget-friendly, tech-forward, and surprisingly comfortable. The pods themselves are compact, but ingeniously designed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable as well. The location is unbeatable. Situated right in the heart of Malioboro, you're steps away from the bustling street market, delicious street food, and iconic landmarks. This makes it an ideal base for exploring Yogyakarta's cultural heart. The shared facilities, including the bathrooms and common areas, were consistently clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing clear instructions on how to use the pod and navigate the facilities. It is perfect for those who value privacy and affordability, and has an excellent value for its prime location.

Unfortunately, when I arrived, the system was having problems. So I had to wait 1.5 hours, and I arrived at the hotel at 1 a.m. The staff tried to let me into my room, but unfortunately, I didn't have a manual key. So, I decided to move hotels, as I couldn't check in. It was a waste of money and time.

When I first arrived, the first staff member was a bit lacking in smiles, greetings, and friendliness. Perhaps because I was leaving something for them, she wasn't very welcoming. Otherwise, everyone was friendly and helpful. The location is strategic and clean, so it's definitely worth a break.

For solo traveling, staying here is the best choice. The location is strategic, near the bus stop, and also the station. Staying here is like returning to your own home/room😂, the AC is really cold, the hot water is really nice especially for people who like to shower in the morning, but if people are walking you can hear it, but if the sound of chatting or making calls or listening to music, it seems like it can't be heard outside. The service is good, the staff is friendly and willing to help if we have trouble or confusion. I think I will stay here again if I visit Jogja again, thank you Bobopod🤍
