It felt like a nice balance between homey and stylish. Ambiance/Facilities: The interior is quite grand and classy, especially the lobby—bonus points for the cool aquarium, it’s such a nice touch! The rooftop pool area has a lovely city view, great for relaxing after a long day. Overall, the place feels peaceful and well-kept. Staff Assistance: Friendly and helpful. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly, and the staff were quick to respond when I needed anything. Highlights: The grand interior, city views from the rooftop, and the aquarium in the lobby made the whole experience feel a bit more special. Also, strong AC and quiet rooms—major win. Price: Definitely good value for what you get. Comfortable stay without breaking the bank. Location: Super convenient—close to Malioboro and other must-visit spots, but still tucked away enough to be quiet at night.

The entire hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything I needed for my stay. The breakfast selection was delicious, and I was completely stuffed. It was undoubtedly a very pleasant first time here. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I ever have the opportunity to return to Yogyakarta.

Booking 5 nights superior price 404 thousand / night including breakfast. The room is cramped, the lights are dim, the wifi is opaque, the TV and the AC don't connect to the remote. Finally, the second night I upgraded to the grand deluxe with an additional 300 thousand / night. The room and bathroom are all the SAME, the only difference is there is a minibar, 2 bathrobes and a balcony almost half the size of the room. Please tell the owner why have such a big balcony but the Grand Deluxe and Superior rooms are the same, maybe it would be more appropriate to call it Grand Balcony. Luckily this hotel has very friendly employees from the security, receptionist, restaurant and HK, all are FRIENDLY. Masyaallah, Vrata is very lucky to have great staff. My suggestion is please add netflix and a refrigerator / minibar in each room then add 50-100 thousand to the price, it would be fine. Success for Vrata Hotel.

The location is very strategic, close to the monument and the market, which offers a variety of tempting culinary delights. The rooms are very spacious and can accommodate a family. This is my third stay here, and I'll be a regular in the future. The food is also delicious and varied, ranging from traditional to contemporary cuisine.
