The location, very close to Kediri Kota Station, is both a plus and a minus. The plus is that it's only a one-minute walk to the station, or even less, because the hotel is right near the station exit, and there's a pedestrian walkway. The downside is that you'll hear the station bell or train horn every 10 minutes, as Kediri Station is a busy station serving intercity trains and the Commuter Line. The hotel room walls are also thin. For me, it's still safe and not particularly disturbing. For those who don't like noise or are easily woken up by noise, it might be worth considering.
Furthermore, the service is excellent. The staff are friendly, both via WhatsApp and in person. While I was staying here, there was a power outage from PLN due to maintenance on the transformer right in front of the hotel. The staff apologized constantly every time I asked or complained about it, which is a plus. My only regret is that there was no compensation for this, even though the power and water were completely out, so I couldn't charge my phone or take a shower before checking out. Maybe it was because the hotel had just received the information from PLN, and there really wasn't anything they could do about it. At least the staff kept apologizing, even upon check-out. That was enough to ease my frustration.
The room quality and facilities were excellent. Complimentary drinks (bottled mineral water) and towels were provided. Water and towels were sufficient for two people, or the number of guests per room. There was a water heater, soap in the bathroom, air conditioning, a smart TV, a clothes hanger (no closet), a blanket, a regular mirror in the bathroom, and a full-body mirror in the room. Tissues were also provided in the room. For the price, this was a very good deal and deserves appreciation.
Bottom line: the facilities and service were good, with the only downside being the noise pollution from the train station (which is understandable considering the hotel's location and the room price).
