Mercure Surabaya Manyar

It was damaged on the ceiling when raining, and I got an upgraded room, thank you Mercure

The Mercure Manyar Hotel is spacious and comfortable, with rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast is varied and delicious, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. We hope to stay here again sometime soon.

Strategic location and quite comfortable

The hotel staff is friendly, check out time is not rushed, the room is comfortable but not very soundproof, the interior is nice and clean, the location is close to the culinary center but at certain times it is a bit congested

Overall, the stay was decent, but there were a few issues. The bathroom didn’t have hand or face towels, and the shower hose was leaking, causing water to spray around. The lobby area could be improved for easier drop-off and pick-up. The breakfast buffet selection was quite limited.

The hotel's location is easily accessible from any direction. Besides the on-site dining, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, easily accessible, even just a short walk across the street, where you'll find delicious traditional food vendors.

Highly recommended hotel with tranquility

I wasn’t really planning to write a review for this hotel, but since the request kept appearing in my email, I decided to share my thoughts. When I booked through Traveloka, I was quite excited — after all, it’s listed as a four-star hotel. However, upon arrival, my expectations met a rather different reality. The hotel turned out to be smaller than I had imagined, with very limited parking space (some guests had to park along the street or on the sidewalk). There was no garden area or swimming pool, and the room felt quite compact, even though I had already checked the description beforehand. The lighting inside the room was also quite dim — perhaps intentionally to create a romantic ambiance, though for me it felt a little too dark. I couldn’t help but wonder, have hotel star standards changed over time, or am I simply being old-fashioned? Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but it didn’t quite match the four-star experience I had anticipated.

The bed wasn't very clean. The room telephone wasn't working. The room was small. The hotel lights were very dim and not bright.

It's a great place to stay, to relax, and to work in the room. Comfort and with HD Google TV.. nice and enjoying.

room and corridor are very clean and totally soundproof, eventhough there was a construction in the road outside the building but it still very quiet inside. the downside of this stay, only at the parking area, which is very limited for car to park, the valet service is available but took so long because not enough crew to handle a lot of people who wait their car
