My recent stay at The Royal Malioboro was simply fantastic, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, I was incredibly impressed by every aspect of this hotel.
First and foremost, the location is unbeatable. Being right on Malioboro Street means you're literally steps away from all the vibrant energy, bustling markets, delicious street food, and fascinating cultural experiences that Yogyakarta has to offer. It was so convenient to explore the area on foot and truly immerse myself in the local atmosphere.
The staff at The Royal Malioboro truly stand out. Every single person I encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant, was exceptionally friendly, warm, and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and always greeted me with a genuine smile. Their hospitality made me feel incredibly welcome and valued.
My room was a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was a dream, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and all the amenities were exactly what I needed. I especially appreciated the quiet ambiance despite being in such a central location.

Highly recommended for staying in the city center, close to Tugu Station and Malioboro. The service is also friendly. I arrived in Yogyakarta from Bandung in the morning and checked in at 2:30. The staff was still friendly. The room was large and clean. The facilities were also complete.

The most comfortable hotel when visiting Yogyakarta. Close to the city center, the train station is just a few steps away. The staff is top-notch and incredibly friendly. I never get bored staying here. The breakfast menu is varied, and there's a rooftop pool. Absolutely the best.

Close to Tugu Station, just walk to the hotel and vice versa when returning. I happened to take the train. Check in/out was fast, breakfast was delicious with lots of variety, the room was clean, the hotel ambiance in the hallway leading to the room was bright, Malioboro was close, there were lots of eateries around; indeed, on weekends, traffic was a bit heavy, due to the impact of the Malioboro area being closed, but it was still okay; one of the hotels I would choose if I come to Yogya again. My second stay at the Royal Malioboro for a vacation with kids. Everything was great, from the lobby check-in process to the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The pool facilities were clean, with a kiddie pool. The staff was very helpful, and towels and changing rooms were provided.
The spa is on the same floor as the pool, and the massages are quite relaxing. There's also a gym. The only downside is the sound of Tugu Station and the trains, which are quite audible. It might be a bit distracting for those who don't want to see the activity at Tugu Station, but since my kids love trains, this is a plus.

My second stay at Royal Malioboro for a holiday with the kids, everything was great, from the Lobby during the check-in process to the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast variety is quite extensive and the taste is also delicious. The swimming pool facilities are clean and there is a children's pool, the pool staff are also quite helpful, towels and changing rooms are also available. The SPA facilities are on the same floor as the swimming pool, the massage results are quite good to relax, there are gym facilities too. The only minus is the sound of Tugu station and the train which is quite clearly audible, for those who don't want to see the activity of Tugu station, it might be a bit annoying, but because the kids love trains, this is a plus point.

The most comfortable hotel when visiting Yogyakarta. Close to the city center, the train station is just a few steps away. The staff is top-notch and incredibly friendly. I never get bored staying here. The breakfast menu is varied, and there's a rooftop pool. Absolutely the best.

My second stay at the Royal Malioboro for a vacation with kids. Everything was great, from the lobby check-in process to the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The pool facilities were clean, with a kiddie pool. The staff was very helpful, and towels and changing rooms were provided.
The spa is on the same floor as the pool, and the massages are quite relaxing. There's also a gym. The only downside is the sound of Tugu Station and the trains, which are quite audible. It might be a bit distracting for those who don't want to see the activity at Tugu Station, but since my kids love trains, this is a plus.

My second stay at Royal Malioboro for a holiday with the kids, everything was great, from the Lobby during the check-in process to the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast variety is quite extensive and the taste is also delicious. The swimming pool facilities are clean and there is a children's pool, the pool staff are also quite helpful, towels and changing rooms are also available. The SPA facilities are on the same floor as the swimming pool, the massage results are quite good to relax, there are gym facilities too. The only minus is the sound of Tugu station and the train which is quite clearly audible, for those who don't want to see the activity of Tugu station, it might be a bit annoying, but because the kids love trains, this is a plus point.
