It is a budget hotel (8100 yen for one night and breakfast is included) and is a good one. Free bicycle for rent (embedded with a lock), an indoor public bathroom with sauna that open until 1am, nice breakfast, close to JR (5mins walk) l, a few restaurants and convenience stores are within 5 min walking distant, a tidy room. Yes, the hotel and rooms (at least my room) are really quite old, but I would say it meets all my expectation for a budget hotel.

Within easy walking distance from Kochi station, as well as the eating/drinking area. Very friendly and spotlessly clean so I would absolutely consider this hotel for my next stay in Kochi.

I enjoyed staying at Hotel Minatoya for the most part. The staff was nice and as helpful as they could be without speaking much English. The room was clean and not too small compared to some other Japanese hotels of a similar price. The first night I was there, I seemed to get a few mosquito bites, though I didn't see the mosquitos themselves. The front desk gave me a mosquito deterrent that actually didn't smell bad. The only real issue I had with this hotel was that it was kind of far from most of the food options. I suppose it's a trade off though because it's relatively close to the train station. I would consider staying there again.

部屋個別でお風呂もありましたが、2階に大浴場とサウナ、水風呂があったため、迷わず大浴場を利用させていただきました。朝食も5種類から選べて種類があり、気持ちの良い朝を迎えることができました。個人的に歩いてすぐのところにコンビニと数件居酒屋があり食事に困らない点もとてもよかったと思います。また利用する機会があればぜひ利用させていただきたいと思います。

スタッフの方の対応がとても気持ちよく、部屋や大浴場も清潔で気持ちよく過ごせました。ただし、大浴場のアメニティやドライヤーなどの設備が充実しているからか、部屋のドライヤーは少し貧弱な感じでした。必要十分でしたが、大浴場がダイソンのような素敵なドライヤーでしたので、つい比較して星を4つにさせていただきました。
