The staff are very friendly but limited English. The room a good size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great! The restaurant is also pretty good for meals at night and the shabu shabu was awesome. They also make their own ramen noodles. There is a rooftop Yakiniku beer bar with all you can drink shochu and beer bar for about 4000y. There is a 711 right next door. The Shinkansen train ststion is only a few minutes away on foot. I’d stay again as it’s quite affordable and decent.

Room was clean and spacious. Very close to the station and convenient location for sightseeing. Although train noise can be heard from time to time, it didn’t bother me much as trains don’t run so often. Overall it was a pleasant stay and would stay again.

Good size room by Japanese standards in an older, but very well maintained premises. Very close and easy walking distance to JR Kagoshimachuo station. 7/11 combini store virtually next door. Off site parking available for 540 yen per night - again in very easy walking distance. Large Pachinko parlour on opposite corner if that's your interest. Recommend very hightly the small site down eating bar directly opposite hotel - brilliant Okonominyaki and Takoyaki cooked on the grill for around 500 to 700 yen. Try the seafood Okonominyaki - it is excellent. For a bit more local culture there is public sento (bath house) about five minutes walk and for 390 yen you can soak your aches and pains away. Generally speaking the locale is very busy but not at all noisy. Breakfast was typical Japanese style served on site.
