I found Mimatsuso a great place to stay after arriving into Osaka Kansai on an evening flight. It's a basic business Ryokan with Japanese style rooms. It's incredibly convenient - two stops on the Nankai line away from the airport, and within easy walking distance from the station, even with oversized luggage. The staff went above and beyond to help me even though I don't speak enough Japanese.

Stunningly clean and quiet, owners are lovely and ever so friendly. Rooms come with air-con and adjustable lighting (which was great as I suffer light sensitivity) bathroom and bathing area cleaned every single morning without fail, to a professional standard.

Within walking distance to Ritsumeikan University, which is excellent for someone who arrives early for SKP, a day or two early before the move in date of your accommodation like I did. There is even instructions on how to get there in the back of the hotel manual in English. The room was clean and pleasant. I actually left my phone charger there when I checked out and when I went back there the next day they had put it aside for safe keeping in case I came looking for it. The staff were all very kind and helpful.
