Mitsui Garden Hotel Osaka Premier

Staff was insanely accommodating. Helped me out with a wedding I had to attend and went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed as a foreigner. I would come again.

Lovely property; I would stay here again.

We had a nice stay. Arrived exhausted and about a hour before check-in time and asked if our room was ready. We were told "no". Someone who spoke decent English came out and said if we paid an extra 4000 yen we could check-in early. It turned out that our room was ready but they misled us so that we would pay extra -- a nasty customer service model. I would be a much happier customer and spread the word to others if they had considered the consequences of their decision.

Great hotel!

This was a beautiful property with amazing river views. I was only there for a short time so did not get to take advantage of all of the amenities, but breakfast was great and the staff was all very friendly and helpful.

Good place

Very clean and modern. I just wish the restaurant had a larger variety of western breakfast food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mitsui Garden Osaka Premier. Though the rooms are a bit dated compared to some other Mitsui Garden hotels, they’re exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff here are what make the experience so exceptional. They’re friendly, helpful, and truly go above and beyond to ensure you have a nice stay. Close to a subway line and there’s a 7Eleven right beside the hotel too. Highly recommended hotel overall!

We appreciated the help we received from the hotel’s excellent interpreter who spoke fluent English and was available to give advice. That made our stay particularly enjoyable.

A very good experience, loved the onsen pool!

I booked this hotel because of previous good experiences at other Mitsui Garden properties in Fukuoka, Nagoya and Kanazawa. However I found that the Mitsui Garden in Osaka didn't live up to the same level. This hotel is a little dated (looked like early 2000s) and the onsen is not as nice as what I've experienced at other Mitsui Gardens. The location is not great if you are in Osaka on a holiday - it's not really in an area with a lot of shops or restaurants. It's more business oriented. The hotel is close to Higobashi station which is convenient for going to Dotonbori or Osaka Station, it's not really close to a train line which is convenient for Shin-Osaka station (where the Shinkansen stop). My biggest issue with this hotel is that I originally booked a standard double room, but found that the window in the room was fully frosted, and so it wasn't possible to see out the window. This wasn't indicated clearly anywhere when I booked the room. I asked if a room change was possible, but they said that all the double rooms had frosted windows. Eventually they changed me to a twin room facing the river which didn't have frosted windows, but I had to pay extra for the room (the difference was not too excessive to the hotel's credit). However I think it's very misleading not to advertise this clearly as I would not have booked the room or hotel if I had know this as the room with frosted window felt very claustrophobic.

Good stay, close to transport

A really beautiful room with a view to match. This room had everything we needed for a comfortable three night stay. The location was good, but if you want to be close to ‘the action’ you may want to find a place closer, as it was either a 30 minute walk into the centre or a metro ride in. One thing I really appreciated in the room was the bathroom mirror - it has excellent lighting, and made it a pleasure to do my makeup. The Phillips hairdryer was also a pleasure to use!
