I stayed with R&B Hachioji for 1 night. In my short stay, it is a clean and convenient place, with easy access to the nearby Keio-Hachioji and the main Hachioji station, both are within walkable distances of 3 and 8 minutes respectively. For a reasonable price, u get a comfortable bed, an en-suite shower and boiling kettle. Highly recommended!

I greatly enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are small and the beds and pillows are very firm, but I found that perfectly comfortable, and the price was right. You've got easy access to the Keio line into Shinjuku or the Chuo line out to the Fuji five lakes area. Or just hang around Hachioji, it's a pleasant town. The staff were polite and were able to assist me with check-in and check-out in English (there wasn't much to checking out, just drop the key in a box). I didn't have occasion to ask them much else, not sure what else you'd typically need to talk to hotel staff about. The room was clean, the bathroom was stocked and functional. Basic toiletries are provided. There's a continental breakfast with free coffee, boiled eggs, soups, bread, and pastries at no extra cost. It's something I'd appreciate if I had places to be, which is the clientele this type of hotel is aimed at.

Very small rooms. Small bathrooms. Hard beds. Uncomfortable pillows. No tea bags for use with hot pots. Generally OK. Probably typical of business hotel.

Simple hotel with basic essentials. Need to get the water boiler from hotel counter level though. Can consider if you want a simple, and near to Hachioji Station.

Nice hotel room. The rooms are very close to each other so you could sometimes hear loud neighbors. Staff speaks very little english but its no problem. My last minute price was definitely way too high for the location quality and room size. Hotel is a 5min walking trip from Hachioji main station (well-connected) and 2min to Keio-Hachioji (less well connected).

Basic nice not very expensive hotel. I stay here every time as it provides easy access to office in the morning. After few days I get tired of their breakfast.

The beds and pillows were hard and the rooms a little small, but as far as value for money goes, I was very pleased with my stay. Luckily I like a firm mattress and slept very well, but I can imagine many western travellers thinking that this is not what they expected. Personally I was quite happy with it. I didn't expect much and I was pleasantly surprised by everything. It looks better than the photos online, and very clean.

This is a business hotel. That means single rooms, single bed (King singles) and fairly basic facilities, but it is spotlessly clean. It's full of Japanese business people and the rooms are so small that you would go stir crazy spending a day in your room. No tea/coffee making facilities, nothing beyond a bed, bathroom and TV. Aircon works well though. Overall, it's cheap and clean.

I liked the location which is close from Krio and Jr Hachioji stations. There was seven eleven and Lawson as well as bakery and coffee shops and some shops from Krio station. Safe to walk at night. Room was very clean and made very efficient by eliminating unnecessary drawers and shelves and instead, some hanger wall. I actually uses it. My plan was also with breakfast and it was pretty good to start the day. Staff was very nice and we were treated very well. I'd stay again.

I was visiting family nearby. The room and bathroom were very small but this is a budget hotel so for cleanliness comfort and budget it is hard to beat. Some other R&B hotels lack English speaking staff but this one was good. Not too far from the train station and breakfast was included!

I travel to Japan about 3-4 times a year, and have been for over 20 years. I have stayed at some very nice, large, expensive hotels in Tokyo, but when my business started bringing me to Hachioji, I began booking the more traditional "business hotel" rooms. I have regularly stayed in another hotel very close to the R&B and when it was booked, I decided to give the R&B a shot. The business room was actually slightly less expensive than the hotel that I normally stayed in, and the location was a stone's throw away so I knew the area well. The room was incredibly clean and the staff were nice. I will say that they did not speak very much English, something that I was not expecting thanks to the English skills of the hotel I normally frequented, but that didn't prove to be much of a problem. The bed was very firm, I was worried at first that I wouldn't sleep well, but that also didn't turn out to be much of a problem. The wireless internet was fast, and reliable, and the hotel had a free continental breakfast which was a nice surprise. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the R&B and will probably look to this hotel first on my next trip thanks to the breakfast and the slightly lower cost. For those new to the area, you are walking distance to the main train station as well as two malls with a lot of good restaurants.
