Highly recommended. Location is very strategic. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

It was my 2nd stay at the hotel. The 1st visit was awesome. This time I checked in at the lobby counter at 2.00pm and has to wait for 15mins to get my room key. As I got in front of the room, the room was still in the cleaning process by the housekeepers, where my family and I had to wait about 10 minutes outside the room. Very bad welcome

The only decent hotel in Pekan
The room and the whole hotel is spacious. However, the wall is a little too thin as I can hear the neighbour's kids crying and screaming so early in the morning. Other than that it is decent if you are in Pekan for work or function.

Good rooms, bad check-in
This is just about the only good hotel in Pekan so there is not much choice. The room is quite large, clean and comfortable. However, I am very dissapointed with the check-in staff as they are very ill-informed about what is advertised in their own online booking platform. We asked for a king-sized bed but were told that there will be an extra charge of about 20%. When we told them there was no such option in their online booking, they insisted that we were wrong even after we had proven it to them. I will not stay with them again if I had a choice but I don't think I do.

Best hotel in Pekan
As said, it is the best hotel in Pekan, though over the river from the main town. The property is a standalone facility across the river right by the bridge. Rooms are big though it is a little stained and grubby. Cheap rates help though. Bathrooms are large too, with separate bathtub and shower. Nothing too much to complain about at the price. The pool is large and appears to be cooled (coolest water we came across in Malaysia). Breakfast price was a bit steep but there are plenty of cheaper options in Pekan.

The only 5 star hotel there but a dissapointment
We have stayed there for business trips over the last 2 years about 5 times or so. NOt because it was the hotel of choice! It is the only hotel there and it was the venue for our meetings etc. The hotel from the outside looks impressive the rooms are bigger than most hotels on average. HOwever the following a continuous issues: hot water for the shower is not a guarantee especially if your room is away from the elevators. As according to the hotel hot water is good for rooms near elevators the further you are no hot water!!!! The wifi is supposedly available but not necessarily in your rooms! So you may need to go and find a place where you can actually get the service. The F&B is something else... breakfast is the worse for a so called 5 star hotel. The choices are very limited and everything is cold. Bread are left uncovered so are very hard. They unwrap the processed cheese from their wrappers and leave it open uncovered so the edges are hard and yellow. There are no other choice of cheese. Fruits are usually not fresh already soft. You want something hot than go to the egg station. But don't expect them to know how to make the eggs as you want. The menu looks ok but we have tried ordering various food from local to western cuisine and 100% it has been tasteless. The food is so disappointing that we end up having to go out an search for food outside. As the hotel is secluded without transport you are abandoned. Pekan nearest town not much choice in food too, The swimming pool is average but has no shade at all. The hotel has potential it is by the river etc but because it is monopolising the area, we think its' making management feel that they don't have any competition. So they can just ignore. We have given them our inputs many many times but it seems to go nowhere especially the F&B area. However, our clients had ordered a catered dinner for 2 nights and during those 2 nights the food was good. We had asked the staff if the food was brought from outside!!!! We try our best to avoid staying this hotel if we can by staying in Kuantan and travelling to our clients.

Nicest hotel to stay in Pekan
I stayed in this hotel for 2 days as the reviews say that it is the nicest hotel to stay in Pekan. For the price you pay, you do get a large room with a very nice view of the river and the pool. All a traveler needs can be found in the room: comfy beds kettle, iron, prayer rug, coffee/tea etc. Wifi is also good. The bathroom is the largest I have ever seen in a hotel of this price range. The pool is nice and relatively clean. My main complaint is the food. Breakfast was quite varied but not very good. The egg station guy was surly and grumpy looking. For lunch, I decided to try the lunch set. The soup was pretty good but had lumps in it. The Cantonese fried mee was tasteless and the mee was hard. The tiny squares of cake was ok but dry. So in a nutshell, nice, big rooms with a nice pool. Food not so good - maybe better to eat out. Also, it would be nice to have some water activity like fishing as the hotel is next to the river.
