To go to Kota Kinabalu to reach the resort, you can board a plane from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport by booking tickets from either Malaysia Airlines or AirAsia. After the touchdown at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, you can opt to go to the hotel by renting a car, taxi or bus heading to the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal. If you are driving, the drive to the said terminal will take around 15 minutes from the airport depending on the traffic situation. If you are taking the bus, you will be dropped off at the bus terminal, in which you would need to go by foot around three kilometres more to arrive. You can also consider taking the taxi, but mind that if you are taking the taxi, be sure to check on the meter rates to ensure that you are being charged properly. While you are on your way, there are a handful of landmarks you can spot to help you find the hotel such as the KK City Waterfront and KK Plaza. If you can find these places, you do not have to worry about getting lost anymore.
There are a total of four main types of the room made available for all guests deciding to stay at Bunga Raya Island Resort depending on room vacancies, and they are Superior Villa, Plunge Pool Villa, Deluxe Villa and Two Bedroom Deluxe Suite. All these rooms come with basic in-room facilities installed adequately in all rooms which include air conditioning, fan, bathroom, shower, bathtub, bathrobes, towel, toiletries, balcony/terrace, coffee/tea maker, free bottled water, minibar, refrigerator, ironing facilities, in-room safe, desk, television and Wi-Fi connection. Superior Villa is a 70 square meters villa that will provide one King bed with nature views, while Plunge Pool Villa is a bigger 87 square meters villa offering one double bed with sea views. Moving on, Deluxe Villa is a villa with a size of 108 square meters that will provide either one double bed or two single beds. Last but not least, Two Bedroom Deluxe Suite is a suite with a size of 177 square meters that will provide both one double bed and two single beds.
Whenever the dining time arrives, and the stomach begins to make sounds to signal the need of food, guests do not have to worry as the resort is ready to serve its guests with a variety of selections via its on-site restaurant. To begin with, there is The Longhouse, which is the main dining venue serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meals are of a mix between local and Western cuisines.
