Great location for walking everywhere
For 75 RM per night, I have to say it is not the best but we were referred here by the Step Inn across the road who were full. There were a few marks on the bed sheets and the pillows looked a few years old, but the linen had obviously been laundered and the bed was fresh. The a/c worked very well and the bathroom shower had a good spray - maybe too good so watch out for where the loo paper roll is situated and maybe move it out of the bathroom if you're not sure of your aim! The guy on the front desk was always cheerful and we could fill up our water bottles with safe drinking water for free from the lobby fountain. The Puduraya bus station is a block away so getting away to Penang was a breeze. We walked to the KL Tower and Petronas Towers - piece of cake. Also close to wander around Chinatown and Petaling Street. We loved the Islamic Arts Museum which was more of a hike but still doable. We picked up a map at the Step Inn who were happy to help even though we weren't staying there. Our big complaint with our hotel was the noisy and inconsiderate guests who kept us awake late at night and others early in the morning. That's bad luck I guess so if I had to, I would certainly stay again.

Downstandard but very cheap
The hotel is very cheap and very near to the pudu raya bus station,May bank and Mydin. Just behind the hindu temple. We stayed there as one of our relatives who reside in KL reserved room for us there as he had good connection to them. The rooms are dirty and congested. But in the same small room you can find almost everything. i carried a bed sheet with me to sleep on. They have filter water outside which is free and wifi too. That's really good what u can expect from this type of hotels. One thing I must mention, we kept our luggage with them for 2 days when we visited Langkawi as we could not carry that much weight in domestic flight. We got them back just as kept before.

Good value for money...for KL
Having stayed in the Step Inn opposite, we were looking for more for our money. With a little negotiation we got an en suite, aircon room for 60 MR per night. Room also has Malaysian channel only TV. Room was clean and spacious, aircon very effective, and bathroom clean and good size. Shower hot, good pressure etc. However, the room was not cleaned during our stay. Location is good, and street is peaceful. Only noise comes from other residents moving between shared facilities. Big social area at the front where wifi access is good (no wifi in rooms). We stayed here twice during our time in Malaysia, and would recommend for backpackers.

A good bet for budget travellers who are driving-in & wanting to stay near the city.
I've stayed here countless times when I needed a budget night-over stay in KL with a hassle-free parking for my car. Located on one of the bye-roads of Jalan Pudu (Near Puduraya bus station/plaza raakyat LRT station) and behind the Indian temple it's a perfect hideaway spot - with instant access to main roads at the same time being reasonably away from the city hustle. Parking is provided outside the hotel and is a boon for people driving as paid over night parking is difficult to find as well as risky in the Puduraya area. Rooms are average and just fits the price you pay for. Rooms with shared bathrooms are best avoided as shared bathrooms were not maintained properly. There's a sizeable common area with pool tables and sofas to relax by - a perfect spot to catch up with other single travellers and also to use the free wifi hotspot available at the lobby. A perfect fit for budget night-over stays in KL city (70MYR/night) and certainly recommended for those driving in.
