This is another budget hotel located in Penang. The Color Hotel is a good choice for those who are travelling to Penang on a business trip and vacationing. The Color Hotel is just outside of Georgetown, away from the hustles and bustles on the city life. The Color Hotel is a part of a row of shophouses, parallel to the main road. It is a few roads after the main road in Penang. The Color Hotel is often confused with another budget hotel by the name of Zen Room Color Hotel. They are located along the same main road, but they are totally different two hotels.

How to Get to the Color Hotel

Going to the Color Hotel is easy with its destination being in Penang, one of Malaysia’s top destinations. The drive to the Color Hotel would take less than ten minutes from the Penang Bridge. Driving from Kuala Lumpur to the Color Hotel will take about three hours and forty-five minutes via the North-South Highway. For those who prefer to take a bus, the express bus from the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, Kuala Lumpur, will take about five hours. A ticket starts from as low as RM 33 to go to the Sungai Nibong Bus Express terminal on the Penang Island. For those who prefer to fly in, Penang has an international airport located in the southern part of Penang Island. The Penang International Airport handles a number of flights coming in from several major airports in Malaysia and the neighbouring countries. KLIA has a number of flights a day that fly to Penang. Both Sungai Nibong Bus Express and Penang International Airport have taxis waiting there that would bring passengers to anywhere on Penang. The fare might be slightly more expensive compared to taking the illegal taxis outside, but they are more reliable.

Different Types of Room at the Color Hotel

The Color Hotel has three types of rooms available in their building. Their smallest and cheapest room is the Single room. It is a 10-sqm has a Single-sized bed and its rate is only RM 57 a night. For a bigger room, the Standard Queen is a 12-sqm room. It has a Queen-sized bed and it is RM 74 a night. The biggest room at the Color Hotel is the Triple room. The Triple room has a Double-sized bed and a Single-sized bed in its 15-sqm space. The Triple room is RM 104 a night. All of these rates for the rooms at the Color Hotel are not refundable. For those who are looking for refundable rooms, there is an increase of around RM 10 per room.

All of the rooms at the Color Hotel have the same basic in-room amenities such as a television set, a couple of bottled water, and an electric kettle. The rooms are fully air-conditioned. The private bathroom is available in each room with hot shower. There are no complimentary toiletries offer by the hotel.
