Cozy 2BR @ Sutera Avenue Kota Kinabalu

I was asked to collect keys to apartment from the security guard. But when I tried to check in the security guard said someone had already taken the keys and checked into the apartment. I called the owner and waited for him to settle the matter. I also contacted and informed Traveloka by email. The security guard tried to intercom the occupant but the occupant only speak Mandarin. The security guard then requested me to accompany him to go up to the apartment to meet the guest who had occupied the apartment. We went up to the apartment together and knocked on the door but the occupant did not open the door. I took a photo of the apartment number. We went down and I waited at the guard house. A lady then came and said she will go up and talk to the occupant and get the occupant to vacate the premises. I informed the owner that if that is the case then I insist that once the occupant has left I want to be in the apartment to witness that the cleaner cleaned the apartment and changed the bed sheets etc. I don't think this is a very unreasonable request. Owner said ok. After half and hour, the owner informed me that he is offering me another apartment as the one I booked has water leakage issue. I asked him what is the apartment number and the apartment is exactly the same apartment which he had wanted to give me in the first place! I was very unhappy because of his dishonesty and told him that I want to cancel. At that moment I had waited for more nearly than 3 hours. My wife and 2 young children were waiting in the car the whole time. Can you imagine that? I contacted CS and they said they cannot do anything because of no refund policy. Can you imagine that? I had not checked in, did not get the apartment which I had paid for but still I cannot claim for a refund!!! I intend to claim for a full refund plus damages for mental stress/torture and inconvenience.

Very comfortable, complete facilities. Ready to have wifi again. Owner is good & friendly 👍
