Effective 1 September 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Residents of Malaysia are required to pay a tourism tax of MYR 10 nett per night per room for all registered hotels with the Malaysian Government. This is in addition to the existing taxes that could be collected at the hotel upon check-in. Please check with the hotel upon arrival regarding these taxes. Upon check-in, hotel Front Desk will collect from guests MYR 2.00 Local Government Fee per room per night (imposed by Penang Government starting from 1st June 2014). This fee is not included in room rates. Please inform Goodhope Hotel Kelawei, Penang in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. You may be required to present valid government-issued identification at check-in, along with cash to cover the incidentals and deposits. This deposit will be fully refunded if there is no damage or abuse of facilities occurred among your stay. Please note that the hotel only accepts payments via cash or select credit cards. Cheque payments will not be accepted. All special request such as additional car park, early check-in, late check-out etc, are strongly subject to availability. You are advised to liaise with owner directly at least 24 hours before arrival for special arrangement. Hotel may charge you additional fee for each extra person after reserves room’s maximum occupancy. Any availability of extra bed or baby crib is subject to availability.
