All good, only a smell of smoke were to strong in my double decked room. Might be somebody who are stay in that room before me are non-stop smoker, heheh, but the location is very best because it's really near with the most interesting places in the Georgetown like Nasi Kandar Line Clear, Morning breakfast at transfer road, sup hameed, Komtar, art street and many more. One thing that I noticed it's near the mosque. Everything is good for me accept that smell smoke (but it's not a big issue). I love this hotel. Next time, I will book again. Affordable with the prices.
the stuff (man) resection very not friendly.
1. Location: It's near the bus station so you just can take any of these bus: 301, 303, 401 from Sungai Nibong, which is quite convenient. Furthermore, it's surrounded by convenient stores, local foodstuffs and it just takes 10 mins to go to the tourist attractions from the hotel. 2. Room: I stayed in a decker room. It's actually small but well-equipped. The only thing that disturbing was that the AC in the room blew the wind straight into the upper bed. I needed to turn down the temperature volume. It made the lower bed hot. 3. Service: I'm satisfied with the staffs. There was a middle-aged lady who was very supportive. She lent us the adapter so that we could charge our phones and camera battery. She also kept our luggage while we were traveling outside after checking out. Thanks alot!
Very great location. The room is just very normal
Friendly staffs. good services
It's was great with good hospitality. great bathroom facility. great wifi, convenient!
Overall very satisfied, going to check in again
Good place. Will repeat staying here.
I stayed for 2 nights. Such a cozy accommodation. The location is quite strategic where it is located at the heart of Georgetown. No issue to find food as it is located in front of mamak restaurant. The staffs are very helpful and fast respond. Easy to get transportation. Quite safe as it is located on 200m from police station. Dissatisfaction: Very noisy at night as the hotel is just at the roadside. Room quite small even for family room. Room a bit smelly. WiFi facility didn't work at all even I stayed at first level. Disclaimer: Keep your belongings on your risk since the staffs will enter the room for room service everyday.
We booked my-triple rooms type with no breakfast for only one night. The rooms were clean and bright. The staff nice and helpful. It's location is good, near the mini store and resto.

Adequate but Basic
Accomodation in George Town is often pretty uninspiring in the budget category. We have stayed in at least half a dozen places and none of them were particularly good. The problem is partly that the heritage architecture is full of pokey little rooms. Many places also have shared bathroom. That makes the Grand Inn better than most places, even if it is still decidedly average. You get your own bathroom; the front desk are friendly and efficient; the rooms, while not very appealing, have a bit more space than some of the competitors. However, moderate your expectations.

Not great
We stayed in the Grand Inn hotel for two nights as part of an organised tour. The hotel lobby is pretty small and basic, though in a decent location for sight-seeing around George Town. Free wifi is included, but it's very intermittent and wasn't working at all when we first arrived. The rooms were a decent size and offered a double and a single bed, as well as free drinking water (unfortunately no mini fridge to keep them cool). The bathroom was not great; like many budget hotels in Malaysia, the shower was wetroom style but the bathroom size did not accommodate this well. The floor would end up soaking, as well as the toilet and sink. No breakfast was included, so instead we were given vouchers for the diner across the road which claimed to serve a Western-style breakfast. We were given no choice of food, and were served a very onion-filled omelette with some strange looking frankfurter sausages and watermelon. The coffee was also extremely sweet. We didn't bother to return for our free breakfast the next morning. Overall, the hotel is ok for people who want to spend their time exploring rather than spending time in the hotel room, which is what we were there for. Not brilliant, but you still get to see George Town and you're not going to break the bank.

Good stay for a few nights!
The location is actually good, mini-mart such as 7/11 is just around the corner and the street art and some temples are walking distance. The rooms are spacious for one person or two but nothing special with it. I didn't have any problem with the air condition as well with the hot water in the shower (which I always encounter in other hotels). The reception staffs are really nice and helpful specially in giving directions where the best way to go. The only thing that I don't like during my entire stay is the food. At that time their cafe is under renovation so the guest needs to dine in Kashmir Restaurant just across the street and it was really bland and horrible!

Rough Visit
I stayed in the GI in George Town as part of a tour from Bangkok to Singpore The rooms are very basic but do include AC and a TV The room I stayed in was right on the main road on a low floor so outside noise was very easy to hear. BRING EARPLUGS The room was also quite grubby on the walls etc, it could have done with a good paint

Very Noisy
I stayed here for one night, and the hotel is average, the rooms are not well maintained and not clean. Also in the hall there were some people smoking and speaking out loudly. the next day had to wake up early in the morning because there were again people shouting. Not a good choice as a hotel.
