Very assisting staff. although they don't have elevator, you can request for room on 1st floor/2nd floor, because the stairs are not for people with knee problems. I was able to cook in their kitchen since I brought my cook set.

Very bad hotel. Not as shown in pictures.

It was a good stay, met a bunch of good people, staff members are nice, and bed was comfortable. WiFi can be spotty and I wish there's a hot and cold shower.

Perfect location. Nice and clean interior. Helpful staffs and owner. Suggestion for improvement: Decoration for outdoor. Change of breakfast from day to day especially for the long stay customers.

Good service and location. Room size a bit small but sufficient

It's great for the backpacking travellers. The owner is so nice to let us use the room after we went to the island even though we already check out. Although it is a hostel, it has attached bathroom. So convenient.

Very helpful hosts. Breakfast is quite good. We took triple room which was very small. Bed was to short for 180cm person. Very uncomfortable.

Very Accomodating Staff and Clean Hotel
We had a five days trip to Kota Kinabalu.Had stayed in 3 different hotels and of the 3 the best was Halo Hostel offering free unlimited breakfast, friendly staff (Jay and Ricksie) and of course a very clean accomodation. The location is also very accessible with the KK attraction which is just a few walks away.

Very friendly staff!
I have visited this hostel 3 times- after booking initially I kept coming back every time I've been in KK. The rooms are small but clean and have lockers. Moreover the staff are super friendly and accommodating and remembered me despite having a months gap in between visits! Decent breakfast, nice lobby area. Slightly noisy from the karaoke next door at night time but this is quite amusing and enjoyable.

Good Hostel. Friendly staff. Location is in the city you just have to walk few minutes to destination. Have free city tour. Breakfast included. Easy to find food and drinks. Its a good place to stay! Recommended for backpackers not family.

Decent location with basic rooms
The location of this property is good, even if it is close to what seemed like hooker street. To be fair this street is a main road that leads you to the coast which is where there is a food market full of cheap options. Not a lot else to say about it really, there was no lift, a KFC and 7 eleven round the corner as well as options to eat. It did the job.

Excellent hostel. We only had one night in KK, but felt we got to see the city well thanks to the free tour offered to all guests by this hostel. The tour was in a comfy minibus with various stops. The hostel itself was clean and well equipped and the rooms comfy and had all the facilities required. Breakfast was porridge, eggs and sausages, toast, coffee and tea. Extremely good value . The place had lots of children's toys, high chairs etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. The hostel is close to shops, bars, restaurants and a laundry.
