How to get to Heritage Sixteen
The visitors can choose to travel on the road or by aeroplane in order to get to Heritage Sixteen. For those who came from Kuala Lumpur and they choose to travel on the road, they will use North-South highway to Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu highway which is at route 311. Then, they need to drive to Lebuh Carnarvon in George Town. Once they have reached George Town, they are able to find a Heritage Sixteen. The journey on the road takes about 3 hours and 48 minutes. The visitors will encounter some tolls along the way.
Another way is travelling by aeroplane. The visitors will have to take a flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 to Penang International Airport. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Once they have landed at Penang International Airport, there is public transportation such as buses and taxis available for the tourists. They can grab a taxi and go straight to the hotel. The distance from the airport to Heritage Sixteen is only taking about 23 minutes.
Different Types of Room in Heritage Sixteen
Heritage Sixteen has 4 different types of room to offer to their guests. The rooms are called Shared Dormitory, Standard Room, Deluxe Room, and Triple Room. For Shared Dormitory, it has a size of 20 square metres and it can fit 1 bunk bed. There is a free Wi-Fi available in this room. This room is air conditioning and it has daily housekeeping service. Besides that, this hotel provides a shared bathroom for this room. Moreover, the guests can enjoy a free breakfast that is served by this hotel. Therefore, the total price for this room is RM34.63 per night including service charge.
Next is the Standard Room. The size of this room is 10 square metres and it can occupy 1 queen bed. This room is equipped with an air conditioner and a daily housekeeping service. The bathroom is a shared bathroom and the guests can request for a hairdryer. They can also request for connecting rooms. Besides that, the guests can enjoy access to free Wi-Fi in this room. However, there is no breakfast provided for this room package. Hence, the total cost for this room is RM69.25 per night including service charge.
The following room is the Deluxe Room. This room has the same in-room and bathroom amenities like the previous room. The only difference for this room is the bedding type which is 1 double bed and it has free breakfast. The total price for this room is RM84.08 per night including service charge.
The final room is the Triple Room. This room has a size 15 square metres and it can fit 3 beds. This room is also offered by the same amenities as the previous room. Hence, the total payment for this room is RM89.03 per night including service charge.

The visitors can see many night hawkers that sell different types of dishes such as Penang Char Kuey Teow, Lok Lok with satay sticks, Wan Tan Mee, Chah Kuih Kar, and many more. They can also get all these dishes at an affordable price. Chulia Street Night Market opens every day from 6 pm until midnight. It is located only 2 minutes of walking from Heritage Sixteen.
Penang Islamic Museum - Penang Islamic Museum is situated along Armenian Street in George Town, Penang. This museum is also known as Syed Alatas Mansion and it was built by Syed Mohammad Alatas in 1860. This museum was once a powerful Acehnese pepper merchant residence. However, the building was reconstructed in 1996 and in the year 1999, this museum has received the Best Project award. This museum features mid -19th century Straits style. The visitors are able to know the Malay leaders’ roles and contribution in development and propagation of Islam in Penang. Moreover, there are 19th century furniture and a maritime-oriented hajj. This museum opens every day except Tuesday which is from 9.30 am to 6 pm. The journey to Penang Islamic Museum takes about 4 minutes of walking from Heritage Sixteen.
Sun Yat-sen Museum - Another museum to visit is Sun Yat-sen Museum. It showcased the work of Dr Sun Yat Sen who led the Chinese revolution in 1911. Dr Sun Yat Sen born in Guandong province and he came to Penang in 1905. Then, he moved his political party headquarters from Singapore to Penang since he received major support from party members from Penang. He became the first provisional president in China since he has received support from Chinese overseas. The visitors can gain more knowledge about the history, the role and contribution of Dr.Sun Yat Sen. Sun Yat-sen museum are located at Armenian street which is only 5 minutes of walking from Heritage Sixteen.
Kapitan Keling Mosque - Kapitan Keling Mosque is one of the best-known mosques in Penang. It is the largest mosque in George Town. This mosque was built by East India Company in the year 1801. “Kapitan” means leader and “Keling” means South Indian Community which is the whole name was called as “a leader of South Indian Community”. The visitors can see the main prayer hall with beautiful arches which is Moorish and Roman arches, the calligraphy panels at the walls and stained glass windows with floral and geometrical designs. Besides that, it has large Mughal style domes and a single minaret. The whole building is influenced by the Indo-Moorish design. The visitors can also find a “madrasah” which is the place where the religious classes were held within the compound. They can get to this mosque by taking only 2 minutes of walking from Heritage Sixteen.

a. Check-out time is 12:00 noon. Any late-check out, you will be considering agree to stay extra night in Heritage Sixteen.
b. Valid identification is required. We only accept national ID cards or driving license and passport for foreigners.
c. To make the stay pleasurable for everyone please respect each other's peace, privacy and belongings.
d. Of course, please do take care of your own belonging as well (beware of third hand). Sorry but we are not liable for any damage or loss of your belongings.
e. Smoking inside Heritage Sixteen is strictly prohibited. At the outdoor bar area smoking is allowed.
f. Housekeeping work will be carried out from 1200 to 1300 noon. They will notify you by knocking your door with a friendly greeting "Housekeeping".
g. We are environment friendly, meanwhile all the bed linen will be change every 3 days (Applicable to those who long term guest)
h. Strictly no alcohol in our restaurant and cafe.
i. For the same reasons we ask you kindly to keep the public places clean and tidy. We want to be the cleanest hostel you've ever stayed in but for that we need your help!
j. We have a close relationship with the Salvation Army and any clothes hanging to dry throughout the public area will be donated to them. As will soap, shower gel and maxi pads that you leave laying around.
k. During check-out, all items rented from the hostel must be returned. (otherwise your deposit will be forfeited)
l. A deposit of MYR 50 (Per Room) in cash or Credit Card Authorization will be collected for key deposit
m. Penang State Government Council Fee is MYR 2 per room per night. This fee is not inclusive in the room rate and will only collect upon your arrival.
n. With effect from 01 September 2017, with reference to the Law of Malaysia Act 791, Tourism Act 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Resident of Malaysia, are committed to a Tourism Tax of MYR 10.00 nett per room night of stay as determined and imposed by the Malaysian Government, which is not included in the reservation and will be collected by the hotel upon check in. This is to be applied in-addition to existing fees/taxes levied and the existing local tourism fee in Penang.
