Hotel De’Tees is an inexpensive hotel located in Taman Masai Utama, Johor Bahru. Masai has limited numbers of hotels and the Hotel De’Tees is a great choice. The Hotel De’Tees is near to several colleges, a hospital and some other facilities in Masai. The Hotel De’Tees offers comfortable and spacious rooms at a reasonable price. The hotel is just beside the Pasir Gudang Highway.

How to Get to the Hotel De’Tees

Taman Masai Utama, Johor Bahru is located about 25 kilometres from the Johor Bahru city centre. Driving to the Hotel De’Tees will be the easiest way to travel from the city centre and it will take about half an hour to reach. It is also possible to travel by the city bus to go to Masai. Take the city bus number 39 and it will stop by at the Masai Terminal, which is about a kilometre away from the hotel. For those who are travelling by bus to Johor Bahru, all of the buses will stop at the Larkin Sentral. There are plenty of taxis at the Larkin Sentral and they would definitely bring the passengers to the Hotel De’Tees that is about 25 kilometres away. For those who fly in into Johor Bahru, they will be arriving at the Senai International Airport that is forty kilometres away. There are airport taxis and despite the fares are more expensive, it is safer to take them. Fares are calculated based on the general area of the destination and passengers are required to pay first before getting in.

Different Types of Room at the Hotel De’Tees

Hotel De’Tees has five types of rooms in their building. Its smallest room, the Deluxe Double room is in a 16-sqm, has a Double-sized bed and starts from as low as RM 86 a night. For those who prefer to have separate beds, choose the Superior Twin room. It is a room with 18-sqm with two Twin-sized beds. It is RM 96 a night. The Executive Room at the Hotel De’Tees can sleep three people comfortably as it has a Double bed and a Twin-sized bed. It is RM 125 for the 20-sqm room. For the Triple Single room that has three Single-sized beds, it starts from RM 134. The Triple Single room has the same space as the Superior Twin room. The Family room at the Hotel De’Tees is RM 154 a night and two Double-sized beds.

The rooms are all fully air-conditioned. Hotel De’Tees has limited in-room basic amenities such as a writing desk and a chair. There is also a television set with cable channels. There is a Wi-Fi connection that is free for the guests to use. All of the rooms at the Hotel De’Tees have their own private bathroom with hot water shower and complimentary toiletries.

Hotel De’Tees does not have its own restaurant and cafe, but there are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel.

Facilities and Activities at the Hotel De’Tees

The facilities at the Hotel De’Tees are limited as it is a small hotel. The hotel has a 24-hour receptionist to make the check-ins and outs much easier for the guests. There is also luggage storage that the guests may use to stow away their luggage. There is Wi-Fi connection at the common area of the hotel. There is a small business centre in the hotel that provides photocopying service for the guests. For those who are driving to the hotel, there are parking spots that the guests can use freely. Hotel De’Tees also provides a shuttle service to the hotel, but this service comes with an extra charge that is not included in the room rates.

Kite Museum - Kite Museum is a speciality museum that is located just ten minutes away from the Hotel De’Tees. It is the first museum in Malaysia that tells the history and store of kites. The Kite Museum was opened since 2002. The Kite Museum does not only has the history of kites from Malaysia but also from all over the world. There are a lot of kite models, with various shapes, sizes and vibrant colours. The museum also holds the information posters and videos about the Pasir Gudang International Kite Festival that has been happening there since 1995. The World Kite Festival that is held every February every year is the best time to visit the Kite Museum. The World Kite Festival is an internationally acclaimed event that must not be missed for kite lovers.
