Economical hotel with breakfast in KK
The hotel has undergone renovations to make it presentable and cozy. The receptionist and bellboy courteous, friendly and polite as compared to similar hotels in Kota Kinabalu where I have stayed before. Although this was my 1st time to this hotel, I would say the staff are knowledgeable and willing to assist guests in whatever ways. The Wi-Fi connections is free and it works wonderfully....it might be slow at times.....but be patient....it will get you connected....that's what a lot of us needed today is serving the internet. Transportation is easily available and near to bus & taxi stand. On breakfast is normal and average as it comes with the room packages...it could be improved further with more varieties and choices of food. I stayed for 4 nites in room no: 1105 from 22/7 - 26/7/2017

Reeks of tobacco, poorly maintained, no WiFi
We stayed here one night, and it was by far the worst we had in Sabah. The lobby looks really beautiful, but the rooms are unimpressive. The first room we were put in reeked of cigarettes, the TV didn't work, the WiFi didn't work and there was no hot water for a shower. They moved us to a room where the TV and shower worked, but we still didn't have WiFi and the room still smelt. On the upside, the hotel is in a good location and the breakfast was fantastic!

Poor maintenance
Smell of water soaked into the carpets is amazing. Old furniture in room. Front house staff polite. Bathroom not clean. Breakfast nothing to shout about, very simple. Lift sounds like gonna collapse..

Strategically located
One of the very popular Hotel downtown. It lies adjacent to Bandaran Berjaya,a former red light district and Kg Air,an old town of 50 years history.Very convenient to move around KK from here.Transportation is mostly from this area. Therefore its certainly an ideal choice place to stay.

Touch and go
book through booking.com. no hassel. checked in around 2.30 pm. asked for room with good working aircond. Room clean just enough space for 2 pax. view very good city view. staff very polite and helpful. only one lift working another one on mantainance. plenty of eating places around the hotel and easily within walking distance a block away. wifi not working or unable to connect. plenty of parking spaces (public) around but had to be careful not in dark places( not lighted). Good hotel as advertised.
