Teluk Nipah beach is another stretch of beach in the district of Manjung, Perak. It is located on the western side of the Pangkor Island, facing the Malacca Straits and just five kilometres from the Pangkor Island Jetty. It is a famous picnic spot on the Pangkor Island, mainly because of the perfect and beautiful view of the ocean, with its equally beautiful white sandy beach and the crystal clear blue waters.

Teluk Nipah has a number of public facilities and some rentable accommodation that are available for tourists coming either to Teluk Nipah itself or the Pangkor Island. How to Get There

By Car

It is the easiest way to travel to Pangkor Island from Kuala Lumpur. The drive will take approximately three hours from Kuala Lumpur.

By Bus

There are buses going to Lumut from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan in Kuala Lumpur with the ticket price starting at RM 27 per one way. The busses are available at almost every thirty minutes interval though they are by different bus companies. The bus terminal in Lumut is just 800 meters away from the ferry terminal to go to Pangkor Island.

By Ferry

From the mainland, there are two jetties that have ferries going to Pangkor Island. For the one that originates from the mainland, the jetty is at the Ferry Terminal Lumut while the other jetty is located at the Marina Bay of Teluk Batik, a man-made island that is accessible via road. The ferry trips from both locations will take some forty-five minutes to reach Pangkor Island despite their relatively short distance. There are motorbikes and bicycles rentals on the island to go around and these are quite cheap comparing taking a taxi.

Pasir Bogak

This is another stretch of beach, located just south of Teluk Nipah. It is rather a secluded beach, with a lot less of foot traffics there, making it one of the best beaches on the island. The Bogak Beach, like most of the beaches on Pangkor Island, has a beautiful white sandy beach, with crystal clear blue waters. There are shady trees growing on the beach and locals had set up some rustic wooden swings for everyone to enjoy. These trees also give shelters during time spending there, enjoying the windy, refreshing sea breeze. The beach is scattered with large and small rocks; thus, any swimming activities must be done with caution to prevent any unwanted accidents. Other than that, the Bongak Beach is a recommended place to go and enjoy while staying in Pangkor Island. It is also one of the best places to watch the sunset, apart from Teluk Nipah.

Turtle Hill

This is one of the hiking place, a favourite by many. For those who are trekking enthusiast or those who enjoy nature very much, a trip to Turtle Hill is something that must not be missed. This hill is located in the central part of the rainforest reserve on the island, with its entrance to the trail starts from Pasir Bogak up until the Sungai Pinang town. Turtle Hill is the highest peak on the island. Though the trekking up to the hill is not that hard, it is advised to wear comfortable, long-sleeved clothing, and durable shoes for safety and also, preventing from leeches sticking to the skin as the jungle of the island is quite dense.
