Everything was okay. But their services not. My room surround with smoke. And I requested their housekeeper air fresheners to remove that smoke. Unlucky, they didn't provided it.
In the room, there's smell of smoking, no hot water
Trouble with the room's door. toilet was a little bit clog. cigarette smell. should pay more attention to cleanliness.
A great place to stay at a very cheap price.
Strategic location with a very reasonable room rate
Very comfortable, nice room & receptionist very helpful & friendly.
The hotel is not surrounded by the attraction but its nearby, walking distance. Had a comfortable stay there. Cheap and good.
Good overall, my reserved room type was sold out but they were responsible of giving me a connecting rooms (which are actually more expensive). Cleaning is good. Location is near to waterfront, and many foods available nearby
A reasonable price with good strategy location
This hotel is ok for staying, however at night the road lead to hotel entrance is a bit dark and unsafe.

Don't stay in room 207
I booked this room on hotel.com for 3 nights. First impression walking into the hotel is that it is relatively new and pretty well kept. They seemed to have a problem finding me a room, and I think I know why. They gave room 207, and suggest anyone not to stay in it. Although the room is clean and well kept, the bathroom is a disaster. The toilet kept on getting clogged, the maintenance folks would take a long time to service it. I mean 3 to 4 times a day. The shower didn't have the glass doors as showed in other room's pictures here. The wifi was very good the first day. It went dead from day 2, and meds fixed it.

Honesty is the best policy
It was a business trip in the sense that it was a work related visit to Kuching. Because it is a budget hotel, guests change very fast. My room and the rate varied throughout my stay. I requested from the reception that at the very end of my stay, I would want a receipt that covers from day 1 until the last day of my stay. And everyday, the answer was yes, the reception would give me such a receipt. At the end of my stay, the reception was unable to produce it. The physical room was okay. The physical building is in an old, quiet area that does not look safe. The free wi fi had to be reset upon request. Not all guests are considerate.

Good Value & Roomy
PRO 1. Roomy Executive room. 2. Clean. 3. Safe. Need a key card to use lift to room. 4. CCTV monitoring parking spaces around hotel perimeter. CON 1. Limited parking spaces. 2. Parking areas dimly lit.

We stay here for 3 nights, couldn't sleep at all due to the poor condition of the room. First we stay in room 311, it's like sleeping underneath the big boiler, not to mention the vibration noise thro the pipes, unbearable. Traffic noise and the singing frogs, ants on the beds, foot prints on the pillow case, yellow stains on the bed sheet, torn bath tower was offered, most of all, NO hot water in the shower. Second night we moved to room 308, better without the boiler and the frogs, but still unable to go to sleep because we can hear our next door talking the whole night long, Traffic noise still remind. The only credit to this hotel is the staffs, friendly and helpful. We couldn't move out because we paid in advance, otherwise we will move out the second day.

2nd visit, and disappointed in decline
A bit disappointed at the current condition of the facilities. My pictures from my visit in 2015 are still on the TA page for this hotel. I had suggested to my friends from Australia to book in with this hotel since I had a pleasant experience on my last visit in Apr 2015. I was sorely disappointed and slightly embarrassed that I had done so. Booking assistance was not great. I had emailed them directly, but there was no reply. A phone call rectified the situation, but the answer I got when I was checking in was less than satisfactory ("Oh, that's a different department" [which is right next to the front desk, and I had asked about my email from a fortnight before during my phone conversation a week before checkin]). Room 301 had no lock in the door (picture attached), which was a bit interesting since they checked me into the room. Room 201 was much better, but some of the kickboards were missing and there were no towels; this could be because of the last minute room change. AC was great, but shower water pressure and temperature was lacking (my friends in 101 had no water at all for 2/3 days, and I had 2 days of cold showers); upon informing the front desk, was told that "the hotel is very full, so wait 10 minutes and see what happens". Laundry service available at around RM7/kg, check with the front desk in the morning. Staff pleasant and helpful, except one more rotund with glasses who said the comment above about lack of water and the booking process. One of the other staff members apologised and said that there were three pumps, but only two were probably on and that they didn't turn on the 3rd. If your hotel were near or at capacity, I would have thought all 3 pumps would be on so that there was no issues with water for showers. Overall, disappointed with current condition of facilities and service, this time. Will try again in the future, but there is another hotel opening up next door, and if nothing is done to improve, I would say there is writing on the wall for Nova Hotel, which would be a shame.
