Most amazing stay with jungle view shower!
This is one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed at! They were really helpful with all our questions beforehand and made us feel so welcome as soon as we got there. We had an AC chalet and as soon as we opened the balcony doors the view was just breath taking! It's such an amazing view over the jungle and the shower is outside so you can shower with a rainforest view. You feel like you're the only person there and so close to nature, it's stunning! Apart from the amazing room everything is so well organized and we were always asked what we wanted to do the next day and got dropped off and picked up by the staff. We stayed for three nights and could've stayed even longer. If you like the rainforest and wildlife it's definitely worth staying for a few days. The food is quite nice too and there was a lovely sociable atmosphere with a nice mix of people when we stayed. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

I loved this place!!!
This was the perfect jungle getaway, I thoroughly enjoyed being at one with nature. Yes, there were bugs, yes there was no wifi, yes there was no air conditioning but....... it’s the jungle!!! I was grateful for the time away from the real world and for the incredible opportunity to visit the orang-utans, sun bears and rainforest. The free shuttle was a fantastic service and the friendly staff helped to book buses and day trips. Can’t recommend the place enough. I would love to stay there again one day!

Be warned
We booked this hotel (on another site, NOT TRIPADVISOR) and arrived, expecting something like the photos and description we had seen. Not so! The hotel is a bush camp with rudimentary services and a walk up a rough dirt path (quite steep for those of us with knee issues) to the room which was clean but nothing like the photo or description. No screens or windows, completely open to the world with netting over the beds (double AND bunks). If you want AC and shut the doors, you are in a box. Yes, it's cheaper than others but not very close to the orangutan centre and little to recommend it. Be careful if booking this one.

Lovely escape into the rainforest
Stayed here for 2 night in one of the ridge rooms for 150RM per night. Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are rustic but clean and ours had airconditioning which was a relief in this heat. The room had 1 double and a bunk bed (2 singles) as well as a small balcony overhanging the rainforest and an outdoor bathroom. Note there is no hot water. The place has a restaurant on site which serves the included breakfast - rather uninspiring dry scrambled eggs with a hotdog and some fruit but hey it's free. The lunch and dinner menu vaires on a nightly basis and serves decent meals at a reasonable price (12RM each). While we stayed there they ran out of coffee on the second morning which was a shame. You can also buy drinks there including an icy cold tiger beer to stave off the heat. The retreat is somewhat isolated in the rainforest about a 10 min drive from Sepilok and off a dirt road that is signposted. If you don't have your own vehicle like us, the retreat offers a free shuttle bus which leaves at 9am and 2pm and returns at 4pm. On our first day we caught this bus into sepilok and spent our morning at the orangutan sanctuary which was fabulous. We then went to the sunbear sanctuary (a little less fabulous) before we walked about 5 mins down the road to sepilok nature resort for lunch which was a really lovely place to spend a couple of hours overlooking a lake. We returned for the afternoon feeding of the orangutans before heading back to the retreat. A lovely day. The second day we hired a private vehicle that Paganakan offers for half day trips to the proboscis monkey sanctuary which was amazing. The retreat asks for 45RM per persom for this trip. We then caught the 2pm free shuttle into sepilok and spent the afternoon at the rainforest discovery centre - also well worth a visit. We stayed here until closing time (6.30pm) before catching a GRAB (like uber) to sepilol nature resort again for dinner (3RM for transfer). This resort then offered us a free trip back to Paganakan which we took them up on. All in all we had a great stay in Sepilok definately give yourself 2 days to see it all.

Excellent Jungle Retreat
I absolutely loved this retreat. Unfortunately I only stayed here for one night, as I had a 3 day tour to the rainforest next day. I arrived here in the night, early enough to have a tasty vegetarian dinner. I slept in the longhouse :) :) which was very nice and clean. It was cool to wake up early in the morning and relax in the hammock with a fabulous view to the rainforest and with the sounds of Nature. The breakfast was included in the price. The staff was very friendly and talkative.
