Good for the price
Our double-bed room was clean and came with a small desk/chair and en-suite bathroom, which was good for the extremely cheap price. There is a water fountain in the hallway so you don't have to go to the shop constantly. The city centre is a short monorail or taxi ride away, which are both cheap, so it's good for tourists. The area right outside the hotel isn't the most fascinating, but there are plenty of small eateries to choose from.

Disappointed with the cleanliness of hotel, never change bedsheet
26th June 2017, Due to the heavy traffic at North South Plus highway and rain we decided to get a room at last min for a short rest and depart very early morning(heard all the highway perhentian are full cant even get a proper place to park car) I booked the budget hotel at Swiss Cottage Hotel which is located at setapak thru booking.com We checked in around 9.19pm.. After make the payment we got the key and went into the room we found out the room floor and curtain were wet due to the unclosed window ( the receptionist told us house keeper forget to close the window , and he cant find him at that time)..Since like that we asked for the room changing and the receptionist (bangla)informed us that family rooms (4adults) were sold out . We had no other choice so informed the receptionist we will be back at 10pm. After this and that, finally we able to check in , the floor was clean but the curtain was still wet, that was fine as we just wanted to take a short rest and skip the heavy traffic in highway. When we were going to the bed, pulled out the blanket, our nightmare came! our tiredness had gone on the spot, awakened by the circumtances (attached with the picture). there was a lots of blood stains on the bedsheet and even penetrated into the mattress.(discover around 11pm++, so we have no choice and forces to accept it) We got a big shock , quickly called the receptionist ,we request to change the bedsheet. The cleaner (guess is Mynmar/cant speak fluent in BM) sugested us to change room to the next few door .We rejected his sugestion as 1.been told family room are sold out 2. We have no confidence with their cleanliness, we need to make sure the cleaner change the new bed sheet front of us . The cleaner tried to find the new clean bedsheet to change .After 5 min he came back with the blanket sheet ,they had no extra bed sheet ! Omg !What does he mean no more clean bedsheet. And no blanket provided , we lay on the blanket sheet and cover body with the thin blanket sheet . I asked the receptionist "u sudah call boss kah? Apa dia cakap?". He said :"boss kata lain kali check dulu baru release room kat customer " what !! Not even get apology from their boss. I red comments in booking.com...most of them are positive comment.Yes,i agreed that the budget hotel common area and "lobby" look clean and proper but that is not most important to me.It is not acceptable and unbelieveable that the budget hotel house keeper never change the bedsheet after customer check out, it is not hygience at all. If not because of the blood mark we also wont know the bedsheet never change the room actually never clean up , they just tidy up make it looks neat that is all. Heard they have two branches in the town, somewhere in Sunway. Pls share ! Pls beware!

Good budget hotel!
My family and I came to Kuala Lumpur for medical purpose at KPJ hospital, just beside this hotel. We've booked 2 rooms for 15 days. The room is clean and comfortable, air conditioning is good, the Toilet is not super clean but still okay. The wi-fi connection is good. The staff is really helpful and really nice. There's this time when we need to borrow a knife, but they don't have any, so the staff went to a shop to buy a knife for us. And they let us have a late check out, which was awesome :)) There also many cheap and delicious food stalls, restaurant and minimarket to choose from nearby. Very good budget hotel..

poor attitude front desk
i had visited this hotel several times already since last year for business purpose and it was all till lately i found out the front desk receptionist already change to new employee.. at first the front desk was still ok but then they became very rude to me and my wife.. they started to charge for late check out and dont want to return back our deposit money. they told us it was the rules but i really angry coz we called for late check out and they said ok for no extra charge, when we return key card they said management ask them to charge for extra.. i m very disappoint for the attitude and also nowadays the room seen not really clean as the towel a bit smelly and got hair in the toilet.. i would recommend this hotel if it can improve this..
