The room is spacious, very comfortable to sleep. The river view at night very beautiful. The swimming pools are very superb. However, TV has not many channels, the wifi connection is very very poor. There is no mirror in the room, need to use bathroom's mirror.

Overall it was a good stay. Some opportunities to improve: 1. Revert back housekeeping as usual, not as per request only. 2. Staff at pool section please be more helpful & don't forget to smile. 3. To improve pool cleanliness.

Maybe due to the pandemic, the hotel need proper maintainence and some upgrades. The 1st room given to us has leaking issues, not properly cleaned. There's a drink and spillage in the refrigerator from previous stay and it smells. The toilet ceiling was leaking, creating puddles on the toilet bowl and made the towels wet. Bathroom was not properly cleaned. We gotten a new room after expressing our disappointment. Upon entering the 2nd room, even the receptionist noticed the smell (I think it was cigarette, but she said it must be the paint) and offered to ask housekeeping to come and spray the room. The 2nd room refrigerator was spoilt (emitting heat instead of cold air), mattres was all spring and the towel was dirty (the kind where I wouldn't offer my own guest). There was a bunch of foreign tourist who doesn't mask up despite being in the lobby/elevator, and we were told they would inform the tour guide regarding Malaysia's masking policies. Otherwise, the staffs are friendly and helpful. The view was magnificent, the swimming pool was well maintained and will be a heaven for kids. The hotel location was ideal. Good for a stroll around the river, and plenty of activities for the whole family (oceanarium/shopping/toy museam) in the shopping mall below the hotel. Parking is easy albeit have to drive all the way to level 7. Food is easy to find be it local food or restaurants, all within walking distance. In all, despite the initial bad impression, the saving grace would be the good hospitality and great location.

It's a hit-and-miss kind of hotel. I reached Malaka at 12.30, and they let me check in at about 1.15 pm, which is acceptable. The first room given was located on level 23. That room is very old and smells dusty. The bathroom has a bathtub, which is a plus, but the water tap that runs the bathtub is broken, hence need to use a shower head to fill up the bathtub, which is very very troublesome. At about 3 pm, the fire alarm rings. It was so noisy that I still can remember vividly 1 week after. We can't rest, hence we go out and eat. When we are back at 7 pm, the alarm still rings! Tired and sleepy, I called the front desk, and they offered to change our room (they mentioned the alarm was caused by a short circuit). I wonder why nobody approached us to offer the room exchange if we didn't call. The 2nd room is located on level 16. Even its a downgrade, as there was no bathtub in the room, the overall condition was better. It feels cleaner at least. But the central AC was so cold, that we think the controller is there just for the sake of having it. The bathroom is mouldy and very dim. Having said that, the view from this hotel is really remarkable. Breakfast - nonya laksa was good. But it's the same breakfast every day. With so much good food in Malaka, I will give it a miss.
